That’s gonna be one helluva long series. The main roster aren’t the only characters in smash. You have characters from things like Monster Hunter and Shovel Knight as assist trophys or spirits.

I think the tv show idea seems really fitting actually! But also the subspace story having a modern re-tell (so newer characters and slight changes) could work for a movie, or multiple part episodes-

I think any attempt to make a Smash Bros. movie or TV show should take the general approach of the Lego verse instead of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. These characters are from wildly different worlds and I think it would honestly be easier to go the route of having alternate versions of them that call the Smash universe home instead of having them come from their own separate worlds and fight to defend this one. One thing is for sure though. Masahiro Sakurai needs to be involved.

If they decide to do a TV show or movie then the plot will be that they all saw a poster for a tournament whoever wins this fighting tournament they win a trophy and also that each episode can have different fights and a random kid playing smash bros which is controlling the main character of the movie this seems like an awesome movie.

The tv show idea is actually pretty interesting, but I feel like if it was just focusing on one character, it would feel too much like a cinematized version of that character’s game with some extra cameos.

I like the idea of a Smash Bros cinematic universe. Or even just a Nintendo Cinematic universe. I'm a major crossover fan, so seeing a film or TV series starring the Smash Bros cast would be awesome.

I think they should make 1 season have 9 episodes, 2 focusing on 1 character, 2 focusing on the 2nd character, then the 3rd and 4th and the last one in the season should be them all coming together to defeat like a villain or something like that

Not gonna lie, a TV show is probably the best way to adapt Smash Bros into a medium. It’s hard to give most of the ensemble cast their time to shine in a movie. I was surprised I haven’t even noticed any Smash themed manga or OVA series from Japan yet.

The biggest problem with this is they need more franchises to make movies to introduce more characters (I get some characters could be introduced in the actual movie or show, but then they'll only be half baked). That, and most game series characters like Ice Climbers, Duck Hunt, and R.O.B. will have little to work with (save for R.O.B. seeing what they did in Brawl). Other characters like Pit, Captain Falcon, or any other smaller characters would need more to cover them since their games have more to work with. It might work, but there's way too much needed to make it good.

A tv show is a great idea like they have episodes about the characters and giving them character development and seeing them grow as characters and becoming friends with other characters just sounds really cool. Like having a show where we see characters we all know and love coming together and becoming friends and how they interact with the world around them sounds like a great idea.

Imagine a TV Show, every season is the next smash bros game and won't squish in too much characters in one scene in a movie, I'd love how the universe gets destroyed and the characters go from plushies to trophies (amiibo i guess) allowing more smaller and third-party characters and also the characters looking at each other and how different they in their each movie.

Fun fact, due to character crossovers, the SSBCU is also connected to the Angry Birds universe through Angry Birds Epic Sonic event AND the mobile Game Idle Arena due to Joker being one of the playable characters

Terminal montage subspace emissary video is one of my favoutite KZfaq videos, usually terminal montage makes more comedic and while his subspace emissary does have comedy it’s action packed and some lore

I actually have plans for making something similar to that. It’s basically a continuation of the Subspace Emissary ten years after that story’s events, continuing ever onward with more characters, additional lore, and even an entire video game multiverse - and the fighters all realize they are the only ones who possess the power to defeat a multiverse-ending threat. And it even has some Kingdom Hearts elements mixed into it since this video game multiverse is the “realm of fiction” after all
