Still one of the best live recordings I have ever seen. Also, whoever mic'd this set, especially the drums, was right on the money.

A live performance that DOESN'T suck! The Smashing Pumpkins are among the few bands that can actually pull that off.

The Smashing Pumpkins were just jaw dropping..the tightest band I've ever seen. I saw their 2nd show at Cabaret Metro opening for Jane's Addiction. Beautiful. We were all envious of their connections with Shanahan...but couldn't deny their talent. oh yeah...billy had hair then, LOL!

why is it weird? The Strat might be his main guitar, but He's got plenty of Gibsons and plays them on many songs across many tours in the past.

Video editors hold out until 4:10 to give a Melissa Auf Der Maur close-up face shot. Oh baby, but when it comes it's well worth the wait. That chick's face just smolders with hotness. From head to toe, Ripping Rock Goddess. She's the whole package. Hyper aware intellect melded with sophisticated style.

Saw Pumpkins for free at Roseland Ballroom NYC on Siamese Dream tour. 2 hours of trancelike throbbing Iha distortion & unintelligible Corrigan growlings. Mesmerizing. You felt like you were entranced in murky ritual. Too bad Auf Der Mar wasn't on bass yet. Slinky sophisticate with impeccable style.

The White Stripes were the last decent rock band, for me. Since then, the majority of bands seem to have resided in the indie-pop scene (the likes of Killers, Franz Ferdinand...even Kings of Leon succumbed!), which I just can't stand. It's as if the current generation somehow completely misinterpreted the 90s. Where's the next Tool, Deftones, Pumpkins, Soundgarden, or Radiohead going to come from? I just can't see that sort of music happening again. Post/Math Rock is the last bastion of hope.

In my opinion the Foo Fighters lost their way after There Is Nothing Left To Lose (which I think was around 2000-2001); since then they've had more of a pop-rock sound and their songs are a bit too samey and boring for me. Whereas the White Stripes lasted a few good years beyond that.
