Probably the best song they wrote in terms of words. They do indeed tease torment and tantalise and tread the margins between love / control and a darker side. I take it as a father who loves their child in a possessive way

true the smiths had an underrated rhythm section, everyone always talks about the guitar/vocals which are great but w/o the rhythm section is equally if not more important to my ears as it allows morrisey and marr to float
