I love how real life imitates art sometimes, there were a lot of recent news stories from mob guys speaking anonymously about the mafia celebrations when Rudy got hit with RICO charges. Apparently a lot of high level people were sitting around cheering at TVs in backrooms as Giuliani got indicted under the exact same statute that he wielded against them.

In all seriousness, HBOs Gotti (1996) is one of the best television films of all time. Even Michael Franzese deemed to be so good that everything shown is almost 100% factual. Belle Movie Televisone...Beautiful. 💐

The Sopranos should not have mentioned real characters in the show because it messes up the timeline. I always thought that Johnny Sac was based on John Gotti the same way Jackie Aprile is based on the DeCavalcante boss Jake Amari, who also died from stomach cancer.
