Hi all!
One of the first songs I remember hearing in my entire life was a Paul Simon song. My parents always had music on and when "You Can Call Me Al" would come in the rotation, that'd be it for me. When I got a little older and began doing some of my own diving, The Sound of Silence came to be. Obviously one of best vocal harmony songs ever and lyrically genius. I wanted to do this in sort of the way how Ghost did "Enter Sandman" (hence the Ghost shirt ;) Also tried to mimic the '66 performance of this song in the video (which is my favorite). I'm really happy in how it came out especially only having the original vocals to try and build around. Hope ya dig

@minkuspower ditto Since Deathly Hallows came out I always strangely associate this track intro with the end part of that Harry Potter Story. When Brother III finally after a long life gives the invisibility cloak to his family, confronts death and passes on after a long and fulfilled life. And the ten thousand part reminds me of "ten thousand fists in the air" plus cover art for Disturbed's '05 album. @331Erock it has been over 10 years. Man has the time flown. Happy 2023 bud

I still say the original is superior. But, Disturbed is a good cover. Most others just seem to missing something. I just don't know.

@Qardo Do you mean the original a-capella version? or the one a studio exec invented by having Bob Dylan's band play a backing track to it after Simon & Garfunkle had broken up, which was so popular it forced them to get back together for a tour? (this song has basically been 'covered' since the beginning :-)

The slower metal parts of this cover is actually soothing in a way, like you're just sitting in a chair just chilling and playing your guitar. I did not expect this, but I'm glad for the end result.
