What the heck was extraction going to be? They talk about infection, iratus, oni vehicles, banished, and flood spore mounds?

Dude I am in the same boat. Extraction according to this is PvPvE. This also ties into the cut S4 cutscene, so I'm going to venture to say parts of Extraction was supposed to have a Firefight like mode. Also ONI Warthog 👀

There’s a chance this could still be implemented as a Firefight mode, kinda like how the first Firefight is King of the Hill

We know from a guy who worked on the mode that it originally was about the flood, but that was changed because it didn’t make sense. The tweet also said that it was changed a few times, which is why it took so long the ship. The only reason it’s out now is because he cut everything that wasn’t essential.
