This show is so weird and quirky that I didn't questioned that dance scene until I saw Five dancing, that's when it hit me it was a fantasy... But I was totally ready to accept it as a reality

Harold Jenkins would not have been in any academy in the timelines - as he was born the regular way from two parents; he just happened to have the same birthday as the super babies.

43 babies were born in the first season, not 16 ))

In the first episode of season 1 it was announced that *43* women around the world gave birth. Assuming all children survived and were just one child per pregnant person (i.e., no twins or other multiples) that's 43 powered children: The 7 of The Umbrella Academy + the 6 (I'm including the cube Christopher and, of course, subtracting Ben) of The Sparrow Academy + Lila is 14 children, leaving 29 other unknown children. When I saw first saw this intro of season 3 state only 16 instead of 43 that's almost 2/3rds less than originally planned. I saw someone in the comments here under a previous episode suggest that Reginald was responsible for these pregnancies, which I'm guessing now too because - otherwise - why would there be only 16 powered people this time around? This also means there's roughly only about a 1/3rd chance that Lila and the remaining Umbrella Academy members even exist in this new timeline, so I figured, as there are now only 9 remaining unknown people not adopted by Reginald. What are the chances that 7 of these 9 are Lila, Viktor, Allison, Five, Diego, Luther and Klaus and not any of the original 29 unknowns?

There are sparrow symbols hidden all over season 2, the towels at the hotel that the handler is at have sparrow symbols on them, candy from vending machine that 5 breaks have sparrows on the label, there's a sparrow symbol in old 5's breifcase, just to name a few

on the first season there was 43 women that got pregnant at the same time. they did the exact same monologue with the same exact words except from 16 instead of 43 as the first one. its amazing, also they will tell why 16 instead of 43.

Of all the things to come from the comics I didn't expect them to bring religious Grace into the show. Intresting move.

I've only made it up to episode 3 (so I don't know this), but I absolutely think "Lester Pockets" is our boy Harlan all grown up. The age seems close enough, his shaky hands (from the powers Vanya left behind), and the tapes he listens to probably soothes him due to his autism. Overall, not a bad start to this season.

This was a great introduction to all the new members in the sparrow academy I’m on episode 5 so far myself in the series really enjoying it so far can’t wait to see y’all reactions after I watch it in full to see how you guys feel about this season and if it’s different to mine

I like how everyone just accepted the dance hallucination as a legit scene. We’re that used to weird stuff happening. I mean, there’s a floating cube, a robot mom, a fish that smokes and speaks, Five’s whole situation.

Only thing I ask for the upcoming episodes is to not misgender Viktor when Vanya transitions to Viktor. It’s not a spoiler since it’s been talked about for a while. But I’ve seen other reactions and it make it difficult for me to watch people misgender him repeatedly.

tbh I dont know why she didn't get to the conclusion that her kid didn't exist?? like she was famous bc of the umbrella academy that's how she met her ex-husband and had her daughter so why if reginald didn't adopt her she'd have that same life?? like they were born all around the world who's to say they would even be in the u.s.

allison only came to the new timeline bc she believed that claire still existed since five never told her how time travel works. she also struggles a lot this season with the trauma of living in the segregated south as a black woman + the loss of claire & ray so pls try to sympathize with her mentally and her actions, to a certain extent. you’ll see why i said “to a certain extent” on ep 5.

i'll be honest, this season was kind of disappointing for me but either way i can't wait to see your reactions and thoughts on this season.

I just hope they address the very real paradox this has created. If Reginald never adopts these six of the Umbrella Academy, then there is obviously no apocalypse in 2019, meaning they never meet Reginald. If they never meet Reginald, he'll have no idea who they are, and so he will adopt them. A cycle. But I expect it could possibly destroy the spacetime continuum, or maybe some other danger. It's called the grandfather paradox. I really hope they touch on this for season 3. A lot of fans were upset with season 2 due to some time travel plot hole, which caused another grandfather paradox. I admit, I was a little upset. The grandfather paradox is such a awful mess.
