The kind gentle soul that was Terry Hall. Terry was a man that you could look up to. The true definition of a gentleman. He wanted no divisions, just unity. Love shared from one brother to another. No self loving, no self-importance. A truly down to earth man, with a love of peace, & a heart of gold. Rest in peace 🙏 xx

you're totally right! I met him a fair few times in the '80s and he was always lovely to us, as fans. The outpouring of love online shows how much he was loved. Totally down to earth and not up his own arse like so many. Rest in peace Terry

I was a 13 year old living on a council estate in SE London when this came out, it was like it was written for me. Listening 42 years later it’s still like the first time. RIP Terry x

I'm 62 was a youth at the time, 70s.best times of my life. This band re-invented ska music and was one of the first bands to include black artists. HENCE 2 TONE. THEN WE HAD, THE SELECTER MADNESS, THE BEAT, BAD MANNERS. GOOD TIMES.
