The judges who decide to release someone on (low) bail should be held personally accountable (financially and in a criminal sense) if that criminal hurts someone on bail.
@iMatti00
@iMatti00 Жыл бұрын
Sorry, but that’s very one-dimensional thinking. Should judges also be held accountable in the same way if they hold someone in detention before trial and it turns out the person is innocent? Loses their job and their house and maybe their kids go to Foster care? If you’re going to be upset and say something should happen, but more than 30 seconds into the thought process before coming up with some grand solution. You know?

Omg!!! I totally get mad watching this because I understand. Me my husband and my son (he was 4 months old at the time) got hit by a Big Black SUV in Lakewood in 2015. I mean we got hit walking through the crosswalk and to this day we still haven't found the hit and run driver. It changed our lives forever and there is no one to pay for the pain and trauma we have been through. It still hurts to talk about it sometimes... Man my blood is boiling right now...

But yet they arrested my husband because someone said they thought he hit me and wouldn't listen to me when I said it didn't happen and wouldn't take photos when I asked about that protocol... Literally ditched me and my kid without a way home and arrested him without any proof ... Just seems like they put their resources in the wrong areas.

What a lame excuse, and covid isn't one either. I think the judges are in with the crimals making some $$$. I was born and raised here, and love seattle , but I cant anymore. I'm not understanding how they think a person who doesn't register as a sex affender wouldn't be a threat to the community. Good job patting the criminals on the back and giving them a high five. I lived in Seattle for a year in 2015 when my husband was there for medical care. We loved it there so much that we strongly considered relocating there. We loved Capital Hill/Greenlake/1st/Ballard. When we returned for my husbands checkup three years later we could not believe how horribly Seattle had declined. The homeless have taken over and crime was/is so bad we were no longer able to walk the. streets to the medical facility like we did before. We were strongly advised to take the free shuttle. How sad. So disappointing to see how the elected representatives have FAILED their voters who trusted them. It seems to be at a point of no turning back. It's really out of control. Shameful. The. criminals OWN the streets of Seattle now.

With the company you keep you should be very careful wishing jail on anyone , you're likely hood of going to jail is high and you will be very happy if they release you early , so be careful what you are wishing for , because it will be you next .

When I went to prison I was high on drugs at least 3 times a week- 1 8hr visit a week- commissary w decent snacks- 3 meals a day- free laundry service- sports- weight rooms- cable tv (in your cell 24hrs a day)- phone (to call family and or friends)- tablets (I-pads)- religious services etc. so before y’all wish prison on people remember the above mentioned perks (for a lack of a better word) and know that prison is not that bad

Here's the problem.....the King County prosecutor said the defendants are sitting on the sidelines waiting for their case to be heard. What do you think these defendants are doing while they're "sitting on the sidelines " ? They are committing more crimes. Maybe a car thief waits a year to go to trial. In that year they continue stealing cars until they're caught again, and maybe they steal 4 more cars until they're caught again. Now you have 4 new victims whose cases stay unsolved, plus the one they got caught for which gets added to the pile of backlogged cases. If you think car theft is a victimless crime you've never had your car stolen. It is inevitably going to cost you money, it may make you lose your job if you can't get to it. This is a fools game. The legislators and courts created this lawless atmosphere with their lenient attitude toward crime. No consequence shoplifting, no bail, etc....How much taxpayer money is spent on just one criminal who gets arrested two or three times a year for "victimless" crimes and goes through the system ? Tens, if not hundreds of thousands of tax dollars or more. Everyone living in that community is a victim of crime in one way or another. Whether it's paying taxes, or you just live in that community knowing it is unsafe, you are affected just like the person who is assaulted, has their property stolen, or is otherwise preyed upon.

It's not a complicated issue, democratic judge's and d.a.s allowed this to happen, there would be no back log if these judges and d.a.s would get off their butts and do their jobs.

How is it that they have catch and release supposedly because of the pandemic but yet they've been catching and releasing years before that so explain that to me the real truth is is that you hungry for bail money it's a business just like she said back in business. They should have asked about what about before the pandemic what was your excuse then?

People are already starting to deal with crime by directly confronting it with leathal force, understanding that dead criminals are outside of the catch and release policy. I have 37 captures or assists of criminals in the past 41+ years, and the lack of resistance to crime and hard drug use in public has only encouraged the criminals and crazies to abandon whatever selfcontrol they may have had and live a dystopian lifestyle where the criminal is just a misunderstood unfortunate bravely struggling to survive. Help the unfortunate, you're called a wuss. Clamp down hard on criminals, you're called a tyrant. Since there are very few successful tyrant wusses, or wussy tyrants, we seem to be left with defending ourselves with whatever means we have. Vote stupid, live with stupid.

The easy answer is to keep this damn criminals in jail and stop these judges from letting them out. You can murder somebody you can rob somebody and you're let out of jail makes no sense.

Most shocking confusing thing i ever seen on tv, i had to rewind it and watch every clip slow mo. Blk man violence and comedian cracking jokes going too far. Chris Rock should be booted out of the Oscar for insulting someone who have a medical disease and Will smith’s for have mental illness violence.

Im so tired of saying no matter what you do you cant ever get tough enough on crime because during desperation which is what were seeing people dont care about consequences instead of harsher laws lets look at systemic issues and ever growing poverty due to amazon and walmart corps killing small buisiness and importing cheep goods to force down our throats take care of all that and people will stop turning to drugs n crime make people feel like theyre worth a damn help them rise up not lock em down
