I do wish y'all would reproduce the classic Model 1903 Springfield that was manufactured in the first half of the 20th century by your company's namesake. As popular as old military surplus rifles have become, as expensive as they have become, as uneasy people are about original 1903 Springfield's "low serial numbers" and as much of a hit the 1911 and SA 35 High Power are...I think it's worth a shot. (and modern metallurgy can make them stronger than ever to be more tolerant of modern loads in .30-06 Springfield or even .308 Winchester, 270, etc.)

Absolutely! I have an 03A3 produced in 1943 that I shoot often, but would love to see the Ol 1903 in new production.

After decades of wishing and dreaming, about a dozen years ago I finally managed to afford a M1A. I got the Loaded version with walnut stock. I had no familiarity with the sighting system, and the owner's manual made it A POINT to state that the rifle was not sighted in at the factory. I studied the manual, researched it on the internet, until I had a rough idea how to sight it in. Right out of the box, it was DEAD ON. ROFL!!! That research project helped me some years later when I finally found a Garand I could afford, because the windage was WAAAY off on that one. Sighting the Garand in gave me an opportunity to use my vernier calipers. I absolutely love my M1A, and my only regret is that I wasn't able to afford one until later in life. Better late than never!

You came out with the SA-35. I applaud that and want to purchase one, and own 2 pistol and a rifle from your company. But something that would really light up your business is producing a M1 Garand. Just like your M14 story, there is a huge desire out there for an M1 Garand. It would take your company to a different level. Just my 2 cents, but many many folks would love one of those.

I can’t imagine what it would cost to build Garands from scratch. Probably as much as an M1A, when there are a lot of milsup Garands on the market for a lot less.

In the early 2000s I saw some Springfield M1 Carbine receivers advertised for 65 dollars a piece and bought 10 of them and between me and some of my work buddies we bought surplus parts kits and built some super nice rifles from those well machined receivers. To complete the rifles it only cost about 350 to 500 a rifle after buying all the parts and having a Gunsmith head space the receivers to the barrel. Those were the days.

I chose the Hellcat over the Sig, S&W Shield (gen 1which i own), Ruger, and the rest of the micro double-stack makers. It’s a solid gun and i’m confident I made a great choice.
@777jaris
@777jaris 7 ай бұрын
Sig 365x isn't a micro double-stack and holds 12+1 flush instead of the 11+ with the HC. The grip on my HC is as short as my Glock 26, can't get my 3rd finger on it. (Without extended mag) The Sig also weighs less and has a consistent 90* pull trigger. I have both and probably wouldn't of noticed the night/day difference had I never picked up the HC

Other thing is especially with guns here in America, we'd really hope they were at least made here. S&W, Sig 100%. You can buy the original "Hellcat" from the Croatian gun manufacturer HS Produkt. They manufacture the entire gun and then Springfield puts their sticker on it. Dirtbag of a company, I mean hell even the $275 brand new Taurus compact/micro is made in Georgia

Illinois Gun Dealer Licensing Act (SB1657), After this came out about SA thumbing it's nose at FFL's in their home State a lot of us quit buying or selling SA products. It took them a couple of months to back pedal on their support for the Anti-Gun SB 1657. I hope they learned their lesson. I know I did. At some point I may buy from them again, and they almost got me with the SA-35.

I'm 50 years young and I've been shooting my whole life everything in IDPA ,a little USPSA ,alot of 3Gun and tons of rimfire matches pistol, revolver and rifle. Tons of skeet and trap as well ,I say this because I've traveled alot and have never admired another shooter not only for his ability but for his humbleness as much as The Great One. Thank you Rob and Springfield Armory.

The M14 came out in 1957. It couldn't have been denied to the public because it was "select fire". Up to 1986 civilians were allowed to purchase fully automatic guns as long as they went through the NFA process. This had to be a Springfield decision not to sell to the civilian market.
@777jaris
@777jaris 7 ай бұрын
You'd be asking the wrong Springfield Armory. This company is Springfield Armory Inc.The one that manufactured the M14 was Springfield Armory. This company ripped the name off and was founded in 1974. Oh and when you buy a brand new "Made in America" Hellcat or XD series it's just the Croatian gun maker HS Produkt's firearm with Springfields name on it.

I’m just glad Springfield decided to put “GRIP ZONE” on their XD pistol line. Personally, that was a game changer for me. I had no idea where to properly grip a pistol till I bought a Springfield.

Customer service mmmh. Sent my 1911 TRP Operator in 45ACP back for work after a squib round. WTF, invalidated my warranty on the whole gun due to a Dawson Precision guide rod (easier disassembly for my old hands than std). Then found they’d put a std barrel in it, rather than the match grade with beveled crown I was expecting. Now shoots like a 1911 worth half the price. Didn’t return it again, coz didn’t want to be without it for a second time.
