I am an NRA Instructor and appointed Training Counselor. The NRA mantra about powder is that it BURNS, NOT EXPLODES. [Yes, black powder is classified as an explosive, but that has more to do with the low flash point, etc.] I was rather surprised therefore, when the presenter said the powder "explodes."

I had one Australian FN before the British government took it in after a killing by some lunatic killed people. It was the best rifle i ever had! Now, when I look back, it was the right decision. However, the only people who have these guns in the UK are the police and criminals, and can you trust either? I know I helped train firearms officers, and only 95% would I trust, 1 to hit the target. 2 not to panic, when confronted with an armed criminal!

Wrong. Too long of a barrel pistol makes it impossible to sit comfortably. You will have to sit at some point during the day.

Make sure you run a holster with a claw attachment to push the grip back! One little piece of plastic makes a huge difference when it comes to printing

The only drawback, for me, is the magazine. All my bolt actions have been converted to DBM that use AICS mags. One would think this could be as well?! Love that you mentioned the sling!

I was issued and trained one of these in the Australian Defence Force and absolutely fell in love with it. I was devastated when we had to give them up for the plastic and underpowered 5.56 Austeyr. Give me my old SLR any day.

Great for a range firearm. For anything I defense firearm, the pistol must be reasonably priced and absolutely accurate and reliable. The first time you use it defensively, you probably will never get it back. So it has to be reasonably priced.

My gun came with a none centered barrel (sits very low) so any suppressor added cause drag on the slide (wear marks and malfunctions). Sent back to Taurus, they put 26 round through it none suppressed (knowing already that it functioned with no suppressor, and that it only had issues when suppressed). I called after receiving the pistol back and was told that if it functions without a suppressor, they don’t care and will not be fixing anything. I had high hopes that Taurus was starting to turn around from the terrible company they’ve known to be in the past, unfortunately they are still the same company.

Irony lives in the fact that those who disparage the rights of others, do so under the protection of rights secured to do so in the same document. And defended by the same individuals who sacrificed so much to protect the disparager. Hypocrisy at its finest.

The one thing I don't like is the top of the trigger. If you hold the trigger finger high it will get pinched after firing because there is a gap that gets exposed after bringing the trigger all the way back.
