Thank you, the hilt is the same as the blade, N690 stainless steel.

Did the oil quench harden the blade enough? I am just curious, as I would like to forge a stainless blade, and I was wondering if I should use air to harden, or oil. Beautifully made knife by the way.

What steel are you using? Just look up what the manufacturer recomends

Look up manufacturer's recommendations. Or if you just want to make a few, send them out for pro heat treatment.

I debone 10+ chicken thighs a week and should get a nice knife like this. The 5 inch bushcraft blade I use is too thick, but the right shape.
