I'm bored! Good old Popular Mechanics projects came with intricate measurements and details. Watching cutting and hacking without parts names and sizes is meaningless to me.

Thats black tipped .22 blank is hotter than a 22lr you can get even hotter, also .27 in some places and 12g shells woth a vrazy powder charge. Above that you will need an explosives oermit as i wpuld not want to mess around with something like a .50 bmg vartridge nlank or not.

No dust mask or eye protection? Stupid. My father spent drilled and blasting hard rock in 1950s-1970s. He used dust masks and safety glasses and was ridiculed. Eventually many of his co-workers were missing eyes or died of silicosis in their lungs from breathing rock dust, just like the guys in this video do…

I knew it! I was saying a while back this has got to be possible! Maybe make custom charges for it, using 22LR or 22 magnum as the base. Use a tiny plastic or lead plug in the end ! For the really deep hole, in huge rock. Use a 30-30, 44 Mag, a 50 cal. Maybe a 12 gauge in brass , 2.5" or 3" long using a 20lb mass to help contain it! Maybe use a concentric feather and wedge with a threaded section on the shaft to seal it in the hiole! Using a 6mm pin through the center to fire it! Or go electric! If a ,3-4 oz container of powder doesn't fracture the rock when sealed inside! Best off leaving that rock alone. Because its other worldly.... For mine work drill 1.5"-2" holes one straight in, 2 more 12"-18" away at an angle to put the bottom of the holes less than 1" from each other. Repeating on four corners. Then the center 5 holes one center, 4 around the empty center hole fill a 1.5" x 16" pipes with powder and a electric Match, model rocket ignitor. Place one in the fill holes fill with sand or water! Use s split dowel with a wedge to seal all the holes filled, drive the wedges tight!! Careful to not break the fuses! Retreat seeing all is clear. Then blast off!! A 1.5" tube will have about 1-3/8" inner diameter this will hold alot of powder especially when packed to a near solid, grinding the powder to a dust with CERAMICS, NOT METALLIC MATERIALS, then compress to a solid in the tube! The boooom will be faster, bigger. A BOOM! FASTER booms gives less time for the gases to disperse and pressure to drop! Equal to a larger mass of propellant, the powder compressed to solid, allows the flame to travel faster in the explosion, ever seena slow mo gun shot, there is. Burning chunks of powder leaving the barrel! The boom at the starting end blew the powder out the barrel before the flame of ignition could leap from chunk to chunk! Bang bang powder doesn't require air to work, it has its own oxygen source! So a flame through a solid of fine dust will travel like sound through a rock basically the whole thing going at once. On our time scale! Like a baloon popping! This happening in a sealed tube in sealed holes in rock. It's going to reach extreme pressure even before it leaves the tube. As the tube expands at mach 10, the rock is just going to step aside, letting the pressure slip by! And the rock falling to bits! It should takea 6-7' x 8' x 8' wall of rock down like dominos! A 38 shell in a few holes in 16"-24" deep holes should do the same mix cement without arrogate , or plaster to seal the hole if you have time. A bit of sand and a split dowel within a 1/4" of the hole to drive a wedge in the middle of that dowel will seal the hole tight. He sand transferring the energy directly to the rock! Removing vein easily , or Clearing a path through rock just as easy! The only issue i see, is someone may wonder what is all the powder doing, Karen and darren are REAL, and every where! Have a blast, awesome video,!!🎉
