Not a fanboy for either Avs or Jets, I just watched the game wanting to see some good playoff hockey. I agree with Makar, the Avs made so many defensive mistakes that gave little chance to Georgiev. I don't think Georgiev played a good game by any means, but at least 2 of the 7 left him virtually helpless. And I don't see how Jets fans can claim that Helle played a good game, giving up 6 is never good. We'll have to see if the Avs can correct their defense in game 2; if they can it should be an even series.

Avs are a good team, but they played their game and lost, jets played a terrible game and won. the jets should be able to adjust to their defensive game and win the series in 5

I'm pretty surprised this podcast wasn't 50% talking about the Leafs, it's good to see they were talking about a lot of the other series on this. The Kipper and Bourne one the other day was 75% talk about Leafs.

Helle had an off night, but came through enough to get that DUB, but also the Jets showed they got depth up front.

The Avs thought they could overpower the Jets by playing aggressive pinching on offense and ignoring the defense far too often. The problem is it left their goalie on an island over and over again. The Jets have far too many scorers to overlook the risk of not playing defense.

brother- Georgiev is trash. If you don’t know that It’s fine- you didn’t see all 82 games. at some point you need a save, and he most likely will not give you that. the only way they win this series w Geo in net is by scoring 4+ every game and limit the jets to 10 shots or less the whole game. it doesn’t matter where the shots come from. blueline, slot, anywhere. its always in.

This is revisionist bullshit. Georgiev was a joke last night. If the Avs even get slightly below league average goaltending , this series is over ( Not an Avs fan)

Glad I didn't listen to this until after game 2 when Avs defeated the Jets 5-2. And, more importantly, Georgiev beat literally everything and everyone in a statement game. Also... let's be honest and admit that the Jets do indeed have a goaltender problem, too. 11 goals in 2 games? Ya.

Avs clapped the Jets left n right. so many positives to take away from that. they’re going to be motivated game 2, and if Annunen is in net it might be a low scoring affair
