Follow along as we mow our first hay of the year. These creek bottoms sure are wet, though. I’ll drag my hay baler out and grease it up so I’m ready to go when I’m ready to bale! Thank you all for watching!

Of all the farm channels I follow, yours is the one I get the most excited about when I get a notification. Happy for you that the new New Holland seems to be a good fit for your operation. Hopefully you get dried down soon. Looking forward to more hay content!

Man, I love the view in the background! Finally cutting hay this week in west TN, been a wet start (but no complaints as we suffered from drought last year) so I'll take the rain while we got it. Hope to get mine baled up this Friday. Like the tractor too, I have a New Holland TN75D and really like it.

Seems like we have a lot of water and just no place for it to go, but I’m like you, I’d rather have a wet summer than a dry one. I really hope the new tractor does me well. Fingers crossed.

Nice video! That New Holland looks like it runs that mower really nicely - what's your verdict on using it as a mowing tractor after trying it?

I’m still partial to my 2 wheel drives! It sure didn’t cut like a 2wd but handled it nicely.

I will never forget the life of me understand why 1/2 the hay farmers insist on running their tires on the wind rows? Not just you Mr. Lamb but a lot of others. You fellows drive the cut hay into the stubble and then later beat the leaves off your crops. Makes no sence to me. Now you can bitch at me all you want.

The hay has to be ran over at some point to be cut, no matter how you cut it. It’s easier to run over the already cut hay rather than the standing hay because it is easier for the mower to pick the hay up. As for beating the leaves off, tedding is a necessary process if you want to get hay up in a timely manner in my opinion. I hope that helps. I’m not the type of person to get upset over a comment, just hope to tell you why I do things the way I do.
