You are soo right: No fun at all ! -Change to the newer, electronic brain, and mounting a gallow on the non-rewind column helped - and placing an air-washer in the booth did the rest. -Before that, it even took several rollers off the wall, and damaged a digital soundhead.

Used to be a common problem at my cinema the Metro in Dunedin NewZealand ... Sometimes even taking the ring out and the film would creep .. Dirty platter or clean didn't, matter .. New polyester was a nightmare

Cool vid. Hard to watch as a projectionist. I kept cringing... Lol. It did handle it quite well though. I've had a payout brain pull in its intended film plus a loop.... disaster obviously ensued. Lol.
