If I have a garage full of cars, and one is missing (even if it's not mine) I'm going to question it. "Huh, did the person come by for their Lamborghini? Let me call and ask." There's no way dude got that car collection being that daft. He was definitely in on it.

You'd be surprised how brazen they can be dude. I run a fleet business and we have the best security system you can get, 26 cameras all motion detected and a very heavy door that is rated to be able to take a ram from a huge truck. Now I've never had a car stolen but..... Some dudes did come into my building and steal the HVAC aircon system, it is huge and they needee a Crain to get it into its position. These 4 dudes came in, in masks and carried it out. They did a professional job removing it too. When insurance covered the unit the installer was worried they would have wrecked all the piping etc but they did a good job blocked off everything that needed blocking off, shit off the power and removed the plugs properly etc 😂😂😂. So they had to have been aircon guys. But even with the best security system there is all it will do is get footage of the crime most of the time, the alarm no one pays attention to those in industrial estates usually. So they just did it as fast as they could 3 and a half minutes from the time the backed in their truck to having on and driving away. So even with those systems the best you can hope is they are dumb and have something in that footage that you get to give that to the cops.

I know a guy with a classic 69 Charger Daytona, 68 Charger RT, and over a half million of other cars and parts. He keeps them in a windowless warehouse behind his house, complete with motion lights all around and a security system. Seems to me this guy should've done something similar. I have another theory. That collector let it be stolen or he stole it himself and then it got stolen. You'd think with anything entrusted to another person's care they would wanna know the location of that item in their care until the original owner got that item back. Grill that "collector".. That is my hunch as to what happened. No one should be that careless. Using the "I thought you picked the car up" is a lame excuse. No I want to know who has access to that place is there any security footage and I wanna check around that building for obvious means of forced entry. Was any other cars stolen? Etc. I smell a rat and that rat is that collector.

@@HankScorpio64 If it's not the collector it's someone that knows him well. What are the chances that out of all the expensive cars in his garage the only one to go missing is the one that doesn't belong to him. The thief would have had to disarm the alarm, unlock the garage, take that one car, then lock the garage back up and reset the alarm otherwise the collector would know someone has been there that shouldn't have been. I have a garage with motorcycles in, in total not worth more than 5 grand yet even I have a cheap motion detecting camera that notifies me if anything in my garage moves.

Before parking any car of mine worth hundreds of thousands of dollars somewhere, I would make sure the security protocol was commensurate with the value of the car... i.e., damn near militant! That could help a lot, because they might have the register of which VT were sold and exported to certain country, and which ones have been damaged or need spare parts. I will never forget when I saw her in person for the first time getting delivered to his home garage. Surreal experience. Had a few theories on how it got taken, but, I'm guessing too much heat to even wrap the car and drive it. So they drove it on backroads only and parked it out of sight. Looked like it got rained on & windows down. And sat gathering dust
@HyperVectra
@HyperVectra Жыл бұрын
Nah they hid it and were gonna ship it out, once it got all that heat they prob took all the shit off that they easily could remove and sell it on, then stashed it somewhere and GTFO

When I started watching these story videos, I was sceptical. Too crazy to be true, but they mostly make sense and seem plausible. This one though - you guys have got some questions to answer! What happened to the key that was at the facility? What happened to the cars that were moved in order to get the Diablo out? How did they get access to the keys, and the car (assuming they were not stored in the same room)?

The storage owner didn't own any supercars. Some Bentley’s were recovered by the Police in 2019 as the storage owner didn’t pay the finance.

I had a Mustang Cobra. Someone stripped the Cobra-specific parts from it when it was parked in a mechanic's parking lot (they were supposed to keep the car inside, but didn't). Weeks later my Nephew stopped to help someone whose car had broken down on the side of the road. It was a Mustang. While talking to the guy my Nephew noticed ... those "Cobra" parts on HIS car were specific to MY Cobra, not that person's faux Cobra. They WERE my parts. When the guy left to get help my Nephew and his friend stole back the parts they could remove. The police later contacted me, they had arrested the guy for something else and asked me to see if I could identify the remaining parts. There was no mistaking them, so I got them back (quite damaged from his amateur removal from my car and install on his). I was glad to have them back though.

I’d be talking to the guy that stored the car about him maybe knowing someone with a diablo. Maybe someone needed parts and had it stolen or maybe paid the guy to pass the car on. Who knows but idk how the guy storing it just had no consequences.

If you can afford a diablo, you should be able to afford a nice house with garage space and an alarm system. If you love your car you dont palm it off to some enthousiast you just met.

Not to rain on the parade and it’s heartbreaking to see, but theres is no chance you are ever finding them parts unless you strip every VT in the world and match the specific parts serial No’s and build dates which, lets be realistic, is never going to happen.
