I tried something new on the channel! Let me know what you think of this kind of format. I realize it's a bit weird presenting an interview in this way, without seeing the developers actually say the things in the video, but right now I don't have the proper setup for that. Anyway, I really enjoyed making this video and it was awesome to get a chance to interact with developers for the first time. Also, a huge thank you to the developers, Timo and Joni, for taking the time to answer my questions! A new "How Games Were Made" video is also on its way so stay tuned for that!

This format is a real win-win scenario. It's one thing to hear a developer thinking back after their game is a success, but it's something completely different to hear from developers before they can tell if their game will succeed. Especially from a small studio. We get a fresh window into development, the devs get exposure for their hard work, and we all get to watch/learn from how the game performs after release. Great work!

@Connor There's so many indie games that deserve a spotlight, too many actually! Hopefully one day I can free up more time to help out more indie devs.

I actually love this version of an interview more than over zoom or something. It let's the devs collect their ideas before sharing and let's you present that to us I'm the best way. Love that vids can't wait for more 🔥

Glad you liked it! That's definitely true actually. I did get the sense that the developers took extra care in giving me detailed answers, which I really appreciated!

Very cool interview! You asked all the questions that I also had, and asked them very thoughtfully. I appreciate the developers’ thorough answers as well! Thanks for your hard work. It makes me very happy to see Stardew Valley inspiring similar gameplay and sentiment, since SV is my first ever farming sim game.

the idea of interviews with developers of small games is great but in my opinion it would be so much better if we could hear the actual voices of them i know that you didn't have a proper setup but i tell this for future projects :) but still a very very good idea! and a good video, as usual introducing to your audience some indie games is very cool and even helpful both for developers and gamers to expand their "boundaries" in games

You still have that loving touch to the video format. I know I've said it before, but the effort you put into the feel of your videos is so beautiful. I haven't even heard of this game before, but I knew the video would be enjoyable regardless.

Thank you so much! This video originally was going to have a much more simple presentation because of a lack of art assets, not to mention not having access to the game, but once I started editing I couldn't help but spice it up a bit :P

The fact that you could play this co-op from the get go definitely gives me a reason to keep tabs on this game. Somehow, the clan and ideas system reminds me of Spore. Edit: I also love this new twist to your content. It gives me more insight about the game since we get to know the thought process behind it. Not to mention, it adds a lot to the decision of whether or not I will play (and recommend it to friends) when it gets released. Good job!

The way they gather the team is like how every anime character make their gang and it make me jealous somehow. But the project is every interesting so no wonder, even i if got an invite like that will instant accept too. Hope it won't took years in early access and can't get to any where like most game sparked with high expect too early.

I like the idea of a stone age harvest moon game, but the art direction they chose for it looks very bad, especially the humans. And the animations lack personality. It also looks like it might have a procedurally generated world map, and if it does then I'm definitely not buying it. I'd much prefer a finely crafted environment packed with secrets
