Amen !!! This is the truth !! But These days dads don’t want to be involved in thier children’s lives !!! and I have two babies I have a 2 year old and a newborn !! And their dad doesn’t want to be in their lives at all !!!! So I have to explain to them when they grow up why their dad chose to not be apart of their lives !!!!

It’s not embarrassment when it comes from a place of love and care. More fathers need to embarrass themselves in a humbling manner. More parents in fact should consider doing something similar to this gentleman.

Many children do infact have fathers but have single mothers you lied to them and tell them their father doesn't love them, then when the child gets older they find out the truth. There are a lot of men out there who don't even know they have children because the women they used to be with didn't tell them that they were pregnant when they were in the relationship. All of this happens all of the time.

He should be proud of himself! I grew up in a very different demographic and I can tell you my Dad let me down in many ways, especially at that age. You are obviously a wonderful father. You don’t have to be wealthy or white/yellow/purple… or much else. You simply have to be loving and supportive and a great listener and that is what your kids need. To know they can trust that Dad truly cares and will always d his best to ‘be there’ when they need him! THAT IS EVERYTHING! (goes for Mom’s too).
