ah yes the C11. i remember the 1st time i saw this was in toy form with the Tomy C11 model ever since then i look forward to the day to visit Japan just to see and ride in one of these legendary trains

I think the "Thomas" one looks more like Belle as it's a blue 2-6-4T with outside cylinders.

So was 227 awaiting to be overhauled or was it scraped (probably not but I still want to know) Edit: fantastic job on the C11 video

227 is now awaiting its overhaul, though it'd take a while to bring her to a workshop for restoration. The engine has been probably stored in a shed so far.

I went in 2017 and it was absolutely packed with people. The tickets for riding on Thomas sold out very quickly and they had an extremely over-priced Bertie the bus driving kids around the area. Seemed to be doing good business. The problem is the railway is in the middle of nowhere.. so many of the tourists are only there specifically for the Thomas connection.
