Author Anthony Murphy talks about myths involving animals and creatures, with particular emphasis on the most famous story involving an animal - the Salmon of Knowledge. This magical fish was said to have been caught by a wise seer called Finegas at the Boyne, but was cooked by Finn (Fionn) Mac Cumhaill, who burnt his thumb as he cooked the fish. He put his thumb in his mouth and thus gained all the salmon's knowledge. The video contains some interpretations of aspects of the mythology.
