It's a hilarious festival of India. We celebrate Durga puja for long 10 days. At that time our joys knows no bounds. At 10th day we immerse the statue of maa Durga into rivers. The day is called dusshera. I'm lucky to be an Indian.

The first Amavasya after the equinox is the beginning of Devi's time. This is called as the feminine quarter of the year. Among the four padas that the earth takes, this is the Devi Pada. In this quarter, the northern hemisphere of the planet becomes gentle because it receives the least amount of sunlight - it is not on in a big way. Everything becomes subdued and feminine. The beginning of the feminine quarter is Navaratri or Dussehra, which is all about the goddess. In Karnataka it is about Chamundi, in Bengal it is about Durga, but it is essentially about feminine divinity. The nine days are classified as per the three basic qualities of tamas, rajas and sattva. The first three days are tamas, where the goddess is fierce, like Durga and Kali. The next three days are Lakshmi-related - gentle but materially oriented. The last three days are sattva - of knowledge and enlightenment, dedicated to Saraswati. And the tenth day is Vijayadashami, which means you conquer all these three qualities. Investing in these three qualities will make your life in a certain way. If you invest in tamas, you will be powerful in one way. If you invest in rajas, you will be powerful in a different way. If you invest in sattva, you will be powerful in a completely different way. But if you go beyond all this, it is not about power; it is about liberation. You did not give in to any of them; you saw through every one of them. You participated in every one of them but did not invest in any one of them. When you have won over all these three, it is Vijayadashami, the day of victory. “In celebrating the Divine Feminine, you will know the True Beauty of life.” 🙏🙏💐

Godess Durga is Adi Parasakthi ,the supreme Mother Godess of all Gods in Hinduism including trinity Brahma , Vishnu, Maheshwar( Lord Shiva)....She has 9 forms , in 9 days people pray & offer puja to her these are Shailaputri, Brahmacharini,Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kaalratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidhatri. There are stuti of JagadGuru Shri Adi Sankarachriya Mahabhag on Godess supreme Mother the Stuti song is Aigiri Nandini , you can listen the Stuti at KZfaq also, it is very nice to hear each time. Lord Rama ( 7th Avatar of Lord Vishnu ) did perform Puja of Godess Durga . Renowned Hindu cultural organisation RSS ( Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh ) established on the 10th day of Durga Puja known Vijaya Dasami at 1925 .

#moral of the story is a women has it all...ability to construct( lord brahma) ..preserve(vishnu) n destruct(shiva)...n has various ways to handle situations..her mental ability n ability to use physical weapons wisely is incomparable if she is doing it for good... Thats why durga is symbol of shakti/power... One must learn it frm her.. her avatar acts as a source of energy n inspiration for women to fight her daily chores in life... No matter big or small... Chanting durga mantras will give energy n positivity to brain.. so these stories are told to put forward logic n inspiration in form of intrstng stories

A little correction that may worth noting, this Durga puja had been done by RAMA that is called akal bodhan and we follow his way. Otherwise victory(not killing) over mahisasur is being celebrated as jagadhatri puja.

(9) Devi Parvati is the symbol of medicine prepared from sulphur etc. . . . and a new Devi as Kalika appeared. Devi Kalika is well-known for the destruction of Raktabija (demon). Raktabija had quality if anybody strikes Raktabija, and any drop of blood fallen, from every drop of blood a new Raktabija would bear/developed. Therefore, the situation developed when numerous Raktabija appeared against fought in opposition to Divas. To combat this state of affairs, the power of Shiva amalgamated d with the power of Parvati, and a new Devi as Kalika appeared. Devi Kalika swallowed Raktabija one after another. As there was no bleeding happened, so no further Raktabija formed. According to Ayurvada, there is a medicine, named Kojjoli, prepared from the mixing of mercury and sulphur. When the preparation of medicine is complete, the color of the mixture, then turned as black. This medicine is applied for the treatment of bleeding. Some experimentalist believes it could be useful to control the bleeding and growth of cancer. We know one cell of cancer can develop a new tumor quickly on spreading in other parts of a body. So we get some symbolic similarity of activity of Kali- the medicine, to combat the Raktabija or carcinoma, if you agreed.
