Very interesting discussion..could have started with the name itself 'Harayana - Land of Hari'...a lot of people including harayanavi does not know the meaning of the name- Harayana...being a Punjabi I have noticed Harayana always get overshadowed by Punjab as historically it was one land - Madar desh...but history of Harayana shaped the future of India.

When we discuss Indian history we directly jump to Islamic invasion & forget Greek ( perhaps because Islam still exists) .If Pushyamitra sunga was not there perhaps India would be Greek followed by Roman and finally Christian. Understanding /putting Pushyamitra in Sanatan history is essential to awaken present day sanatan society. It was not that he took over Maurya but abolished apologetic non violent policies beyond a point needs to be neutralised for the sake of survival.

Actually Ethnolinguistically the whole area including Today's Haryana province, western up region, delhi territory, mewat part of rajasthan etc makes the uniform cultural - ethnolinguistic region this entire region is actual 'Haryana' & Delhi is actually cultural center of this Greater Haryana . Ethnolinguistically the Haryana is not just limited to present haryana province.

Sudas was the king ;Bharata was the clan to which he belonged(sub clan of the Purus) in Rigveda.This not Bharat the king who appears in Mahabharata.The later kurus(Pandavas,kauravas etc )are supposed to have in turn descended from the rigvedic purus through the king Bharat.The chronology of these texts becomes very important because the names are often repeated.
