I was stalked in high school for two years. I knew who it was and told people, he even confessed, and nothing was done because he said he wanted to get help. It was frightening what he found out about me because it was before the Internet was really widespread. The stalking stopped quite suddenly when he ran up to me in public and told me he was going to get married in a few months. And I never saw or heard from him again. To this day I am paranoid about what I share on social media because of him.

I too had one. I would find notes written in snow on my car. I had annoying multiple phone calls, sometimes 20 per day. I was followed, while doing my job, by this person, even to my parents house. I knew the person, sought local police for protection on occasion. I had to move multiple times. It was over jealousy, attention seeking, control. It had to be someone that knew you personally, Barry. I mean, even if it was someone that had saw you on stage and became obsessed, how would they be able to spend time there? Someone local or close by. So sorry you had to go through all that. Has to scare you to pieces and make you paranoid. (Would me) I wish they'd have found the person so you would have closure.

I was stalked in college. That wacko even tried to push my truck off the highway! I was only 17 but this was back in 1980 when cops blamed women. (In the US anyway) Eventually he stopped.

Two things that would have terrified me. The proof that someone was actually in my house and the knife. There are too many crazies in this world lately. I honestly think the Police/Guarda should have taken the cigarette butts where the perp was hiding, DNA is the past, present, and future of Science. At least DNA would be on file. I had a stalker for years when I modeled and it got to the point that I didn’t want to be around large groups of people (which, when you model retro style 40s clothing there are car events and USO and Veteran events and though I’m no longer modeling and it’s been hard ears, it’s really creepy when they aren’t caught and you wonder if they have finally given up or not. I’m so sorry you had to deal with that, it’s wild!

I do a training about stalking to helping professionals and it's scary some of the scenarios! Glad you are okay. Stay on alert - they can be active again years later. Glad family, guards and others were there for you. I do not blame you about not giving info. Some people are way too giving with their personal life. My friend has not revealed her last name, date of birth, address, family names, . . . . She had been stalked in the past and it was from her job that the stalker occurred. She had nightmares, had law enforcement in two different counties involved, her work environment involved, and she just waits for the stalker to pop back up again. So keep doing what you need to do to protect you. Stay safe.

I cannot stand scary stories. I'm the person w/a pillow in my hand to hide my eyes just watching a horror movie. BUT, lo and behold, Cierra introduced me to a novel about an Irish serial killer and an American serial killer that goes around and takes out "bad" serial killers, and they meet up and have a contest and fall in love. It is HILARIOUS. I am disgusted with the gore, but it is so comical that I have to find out what happens. Too good. 😜

Thats very creepy. Im so sorry you had to go through that Barry. Im glad to hear you are safe. I know what it's like to be stalked. I left my abusive ex husband and was back with my parents. I was sleeping on the couch until i saw my ex husband looking in st me through the window. That freakede out and i moved myself upstairs where my father slept ( he could protect me better). The very next day there were 3 rifle bullets on my parents screen door each one marked....one with my mom's name, one eith my dad's name and the 3rd had a letter attached that said "I am going to tie you to the telephone pole and make you watch as i kill your mother and father, the 3rd bullet is for you. Ill make sure you are the last one you die". I freaked and called the cops, he was violating the restraining order i jad on him. The cops found him hiding fown the street trying to get to the brach before they could arrest him. He went to jail for a year and i divorced him while he was in prison. He didn't stop stalking me though. I had to move away from my parents, stay hidden ( I was always looking over my shoulder anyway). I stayed eith my friend in a different city gor 6 months. I came back home because i couldn't let him ruin my life. I saw him in court one day snd faced him snd said " if I didnt feel so sorry for the vengeful person you are, id feel sorry for you. But you will not get any more of my life or a second thought from me." I gorga e him so I could move on in my life ( and im not one to hold a grudge). Im glad i forgave him, I have a clear conscience even after hearing he passed away when he fell into a fire because he was so drunk. My soul is clear, my conscience is clear and karma struck back at him. ❤❤
