In the recordings you find from Keener, he talks about a bigger picture and leading people on a chase. To top it off, he strictly mentions that he still has the DNA printer and original schematics, as well as the Russian Doctor and that "the division should be careful on who they chase". I'm spitballing, but I think Keener will be back, but to oppose this new ground behind the black tusk.

Honestly, I feel really bad for Division agents. They’re just trying to protect their country and help out after a devastating pandemic, and they’ve gotten no end of shit from all sides. Abandoned in the Dark Zones, having the Hunters come after them, getting their operatives tortured, executed, all because some chucklefucks have it in their head that they don’t like the Division helping people out.

I have a feeling Aron Keener is involved somehow. Because they know how the division work

jtf in the division: gets slaughtered by even the lowest forms of bag guy, random thug rioters jtf in the division 2: becomes guys and are now magically a powerful enemy faction.

Honestly when I heard about these guys, I really didn't see them as a threat and just treated them as I would treat a level 6 hyena. Little did I know, they actually lived up to their description ( at least for me) and proved to be very combat effective. Instead of staying stagnant and imobile, some would flank while others provide covering fire. They used the explosive drones to flush you out of cover for a good shot. Their call outs are much more descriptive and you really get the sense that a professional military unit is after you, and these are only a couple of improvements out of many. Even though I rage at the factions effectiveness at killing me, I really do appreciate a good challenge and it really does make me love the game that much more at the end of the day. Love the vids, keep it up bro!!!!!

I never played The Division 1. But HOT DAMN! the Divison 2 is a gem! i freaking love it... I just loooooove running around with my Tac-50 in the streets of New York and pick out baddies and see em get torn apart by one hell of a sniper shot! all the weapons a a treat to use and feel different, even thoes in the same category have distinct pros and cons that makes me choose a One LMG over another LMG everytime, cause of playstyle. This is the type of game where i constantly get sidetracked from my mission cause of something interrresting, and then i get side-tracked from the first side-track cause I keep finding interresting places, areas, missions, secrets, eastereggs, hunters, dyes, you name it... I really really like this game, and to think when i first saw the trailers i thought it looked a bit... boring...damn I was SO wrong. Thanks for making these lore videos, It makes the game even more fun for me to play, when I know there is a reason behind the different fractions, other than "different enemy types". very good job. liked + subbed. Im surprised how little these factions underestimate the power of the Division. Over and over in the mission they keep acting tough despite loosing so much man power, leadership, and resources. You would think that they would grow wise about taking the threats seriously, but only Keener really seem to appreciate how well you preformed.

I was really hyped for this video of your LORE series, and it did not dissapoint. The Black tusks are one of the most important pieces of the story here, if not the most important so far. The LORE of this game is really intersting, many facts tied together, many theories that can fit... But I have still a doubt. Who is the goverment now? I mean, we, the players are agents of the SHD, the division, but the Black Tusks seem to be working for this "new goverment", so, as long as there's no "old goverment" around anymore, at this point I don't know if we are still the legit goverment or just a faction playing for the win here. I mean, Division is called "rogue agency", so... Are we all rogues now? Does anyone knows this? As I said, very interesting LORE indeed. And thanks for put it together.

Great video; I love your Division Lore vids, I always get excited when I see one in my inbox. I do have a possible loose theory on who is the employer of the Black Tusk. It might be Aron Keener. I know it sounds a bit far fetched but bare with me. For starters he done similar things with the LMB in NYC so it’s not too far to think that he could do a similar thing with another private military company; he’s extremely good at manipulating people to make them “puppets”. He’s highly intelligent and has the leverage of Technenko and possibility of creating a new dollar flu so getting the anti virals would be one if the the top of his top priorities. This would also explain the Hunters; they might not be Rogue Division agents, but specialist Black Tusk elite soldiers, told to carry out their missions (whatever that might be) even it means eliminating other Black Tusk units; it would explain why they were first properly introduced in Survival when you were extracting the Anti-Virals from NYC and why they are like an Advanced Division agent (as Black Tusk, like the LMB before them are kinda like the Division in their own way), it would also explain the difference in equipment and fighting techniques if they aren’t Division Agents of some kind, but would also still use Division SHD tech, as Keener could have brought in his top rogue agents to teach Hunters. We also see in Div 2 that a Hunter has interrogated and murdered a Division Agent (I’ve forgotten his name) when we are first introduced to them in Div 2; then we see a similar thing happen in the Black Tusk echo that was shown in this video. Both were extracting information in a brutal manner of torture and both hung the subject while doing so; and lastly the subject was killed afterwards. Keener would also want all the watches of Div agents; and to make them even more mysterious he’s telling them to also eliminate rogue div agents. Or maybe he doesn’t need rogue agents anymore if he has the firepower of the Black Tusk in the palm of his hand. In Black Tusk eyes the Division is a rogue agency, but why would they think that? Sure, some of them go rogue, but at no point have the Division as a whole done anything like that. Maybe they say that to justify themselves or maybe their employer, (Keener), brands them as so. And finally, we find recordings of Keener around DC, so was he in DC? Or did one of his underlings, maybe the PTSU or more likely Hunters leave them for us to find so that if Keener does “find us” if we want to be found by him we could give him all the latest intel on div activities in DC. Tbh, I don’t think he ever when to DC and someone he knows and trusts was tasked with just leaving them for Div agents to find. If I remember correctly at no point does he mention DC in his recording, which is odd as he talked a lot about NYC in his Div 1 recordings, I know there were more of them in Div 1, but not a single mention of DC in any of the 8 new recordings in Div 2 especially when he talked a lot about NYC either explicitly or otherwise in Div 1. Just seems strange. And why would he need to go to DC if he has 12 Hunters and a specialist Unit of Black Tusk there? I could go on and I know it’s a bit of a stretch but I think it is a possibility with the given information we have atm.

Damnit theirs always so many questions left unanswered in the division series.. it just makes me wanna play it more and I love these lore videos

I look at the SHD as a DoD unit directly reporting to the President. While the BTSU is a organization that was created by the hard security authoritarian leaning intelligence community. That's why their funding and access is so great. Including having access to ISAC and SHD Tech. They helped develope it. Two government organizations fighting for control to either save what remains or rebuild in their image how they see fit.

My theory is that Aron keener behind all this. Cuz he probably started the hunter group highly train and almost impossible for division agent to take them out, and he used black tusk and other factions as cover so they can continue weaking division agent SHD resources. Cuz Aron knew that the black tusk most likely cant defeat them and use them as expendable asset to heavily weaken agent even faster because the tusk are almost strong enough to take them out but still failed so he can finally finish his masterplan and sent his hunter team to finish the division off. Which probably his goal this whole time because he knows if he uses the virus in new york he can summon most agent as possible so he can start his plan to slowly weakening the number of agent everytime. And probably keep an eye out for any worthy agent that the only one to survived to (A.K.A you/player) to convince you to join his side so he can destroy all the government power in america and rebuild/reshape it into his own highly advance version of america using SHD technology on more than just weapons and use it too build highly advance city and cars. And then use his highly SHD tech of his own troop to take over the world across every state like (russia, asia, africa, etc...) So he can combine all the state together and expect to turn it to his own version of peace on earth.
