When we had Giggs on the left, and Kan Kan on the right, marauding down the wings :) So many memories

So vseverelyly underrated when discussed in circle of influential great players, especially at OT. .. Frighteningly marvellous footballer. Good vid.

Great vid man. He was a key part of the first great Utd team of the 90s. Pure exhilarating attacking football devastating breaking at pace which he typified.

My favourite player as a kid, i played RW for my school and always wanted the number 14 shirt, which when squad numbers were new in the premier league was usually the number for a sub

Probably his best ever goal was scored for Rangers in a cup tie against Dunfermline. A lethal curling volley off the outside of the boot at a narrow angle. It made Van Basten's '88 Euros goal look ordinary in comparison. Tragic it's not included here! EDIT: it flashed up right at the end!

Apparently the 2nd ever fastest United player in a 100m sprint with Antonio valencia being first and Ryan giggs being 3rd

Kanchelskis was brilliant. Check out the 5-0 win against Man City in November 1994. Ripped them apart and scored a hat-trick. Salah is not a winger so that's an incorrect comparison. You said 1955/56 season btw lol

I don't know if it was because of the European ban but the English top fight was definitely at an all time low in the early to mid 90's. I just remember virtually every foreign player that signed would come in and make a complete mockery of the league. Cantona was one, Klinsman, Ravanelli and Juninho, Bergkamp, Zola, Kanchelskis, Overmars, Vieira, Ginola and so on. It got to a stage where if your club signed a player from one of the other top leagues you'd get excited even if you had no clue who he was because you were probably getting a guy with a tone of flair and technique which the Prem had been bereft of for years at that point.

emergence of Becks played a part on him being pushed out. Also, the discovery of a gem in the form of CR7 pushed Becks out.
@EvieWillNotDieАй бұрын
That's literally false? The whole reason united took a risk with Ronaldo was because they were getting rid of Beckham? How have you got that so wrong? United only bothered to get Ronaldo because they missed out on Ronaldinho after Beckham left and played a friendly that summer against sporting. They didn't even know of him before that game.
@miltonedwin8237Ай бұрын
@@EvieWillNotDie Read somewhere before the friendly, Fergie wanted to buy and loan him back. So they did knew about CR7 before the friendly. Him and the chase of Ronaldinho did push Becks out.

In an all time Fergie United eleven, I would have him on the bench, to come on for Ronaldo on the right. Not Beckham
@heijimikata71812 ай бұрын
I mean, I absolutely adored the way Kanchelskis played football but am too young to have remembered him game-to-game. I understand how someone could choose Beckham. He was very consistent, could defend and was surprisingly more technical than many English fans ever gave him credit for, plus his never-ending drive to win.
@briansukhu43922 ай бұрын
@heijimikata7181 Brckham had more Hollywood moments, I am not suggesting he was crap or anything like that. He maximised his talents and had a stellar career. However in terms of pure talent, Andrei was better,;he had more pace, a consummate dribbler, a good goal scorer and perhaps most significantly could drift in; ahead of his time.
