Well since we will get Isolde by the end of the year, the story will finally come full circle before that happens. But so far, it feels like she was forced like you said.

Damn I didn't think about that. Makes his obsession soo much scarier since she may have felt threatened. There's so much potential to make a dark story there.

I kind of get that same feeling. Think they took some inspiration from the GOT storyline about Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark's sister. She was promised to him, but was really in love with Rhaegar. Robert however couldn't even concieve of that as an idea at all, so he started a war based on the delusional belief that she was kidnapped and raped by Rhaegar. Getting very similar vibes from Viego. He's so blinded by his own delusional reality to see that she doesn't actually love him or want to go back to him. I think it has potential to be a fantastic story :)

@@jakobchristiansson in GoT Lyanna Stark suddenly dissapeared and people saw her going south surrounded by Rhaegar and his closer friends, that sounds like the prince had kidnapped Lyanna, it wasn't delusional, when the family of Lyanne went to King's Landing to seek justice for the obvious kidnapping they were executed by a king who all the 7 kingdoms knew was crazy, Robert acted like a normal person when his fiancee was kidnapped and her family was brutally murdered

If they go down this route they will end up ruining their story because that would make Viego just a delusional man that took what he wanted. sure, it's the norm nowadays to make stories where the poor woman is enslaved by the evil man but that's the thing, everyone is doing that. i sure hope they stay clear from that PC bullshit and stick to the romance gone wrong story (with maybe a chance of redemption for Viego)

She completed her mission and instead of being trusted was imprisoned by the one she was loyal to and he even allowed her death and has a voice line saying that Kalista will never get her vengeance. So yeah, Viego definitely should be her enemy as well

Ah, that would make sense. I think thresh might have been keeping the kings soul in the lantern along with Sennas because of Isolde’s soul. And when Senna was released, so was the king.

That would make sense, I imagine Senna is the largest fragment of Isolde left, which finally Viego sensed. Would also make it kinda ironic how Lucian trying to bring his wife back to life caused the second Ruination, bringing things full circle with him.

Prob even more than morde in that regard, than morde, as he didn't worked his ass off for it. (if I remember correctly new morde lore - he basically so badass and have so much will, plus accumulated so much knowledge and magic that he manages to get back from death and afterlife (in which he was dissapointed) with his own powers, deciding to create his own afterlife as he sees fit.

That’s cause they tried to make him with the modern edgy hot topic look but the clothes on him is torn to look like that rather than deliberately designed. Though if you ask me if he was running around killing people and feared getting assassinated he should be wearing armor rather than the punk rock look he’s having, hell even his recall suggests that he can materialize armor so why doesn’t he?

Isolde is a character from arthurian legend where she and tristan drank a love potion she made and they fell in love madly on the way to isolde to marry tristan's uncle. Maybe in league she made viego fall in love with her so she could rise in life

Shaco definitely needs a rework especially visually because after fiddlesticks update I ve been wanting both Nocturne and Shaco to get a visual update to make them way scarier and update their lores. With Amumu he needs one too but just visually his gameplay is healthy.

Interesting point of fact, Yorick really has no control over the Maiden at all. Lore-wise she torments him and tries to get him to give up, give in the Black Mist. In game, she can only be urged to attack a champion or monster, and only for a few seconds, and only if you land a skill shot. She can't be ordered around like Tibbers or Daisy. She has a will of her own and lasts until she or Yorick are killed. She doesn't seem to have a personality even approaching what we know about Isolde, but the Ruination may well have twisted her spirit. I don't know if it's her body per se, but I do like to think it is at least part of her spirit. The timing does seem a little odd as Yorick gets the Maiden presumably immediately at the Ruination, the same moment Isolde is attempted to be revived...? +

If I remember Yorick’s story it’s not the maiden tormenting him to give in to the mist but the souls of his fellow monks who tore off their tears of life and gave in to the mist. And also I don’t believe I’m any of Yorick’s lore the maiden is directly mentioned just the ghouls not maiden. I think we will learn in new lore drops and the like that the maiden is what is left of Isolde’s former body (she will probably get a new especially if she is the next champ) which Yorick can control and it’s magical abilities (the siphoning attacks) are a side effect of still holding some of the water power and maybe even some of the OG blade of the ruined king sword because it does siphoning attack like Viego’s passive and also does percent health damage like Viego and the Blade of the Ruined King item.

(I missread that. in terms of realised.... I mean... he's been a vague figure in the lore for a while, they have had years to make him, and there is so much they could have done with him to make him actually interesting. many champions were slapped together in a short time and have had stronger backstories)

He is a literal will of the mist right now, controlling countless corrupted souls, powerful necromant and just obsessed sick person, who partially this way because of ruination too. He literally went mad so hard, that his own kind of ressurected wife killed him with his own sword. Literally twisted young king, suffering from his love, that make him turn into insane person. With power enough to fuck all runterra more or less and challenge in combat strongest creatures around the world. He wasn't manipulating, he is just a king, who isn't supposed to became a king, but more like just another high aristocrat. His story is interesting in it's own way. And more will come.
