Earl Nightingale V (March 12, 1921 - March 25, 1989) was an American radio speaker and author, dealing mostly with the subjects of human character development, motivation, and meaningful existence. He was the voice during the early 1950s of Sky King, the hero of a radio adventure series, and was a WGN radio program host from 1950 to 1956. Nightingale was the author of The Strangest Secret, which economist Terry Savage has termed "…one of the great motivational books of all time."

As long as you don't start thinking in lines of "The Secret" Law of Attraction ways, this is a good message. You also need wisdom to realize what goals are worthwhile and what are not. The uninitiated often think that money will solve all their problems. Besides that, another way to put this is: whatever you prioritize, you will succeed in. Often we think we want something but do yourself a favor and journal carefully to find out if you are truly prioritizing that said thing in your every day life. Those things we prioritize should be the first and last things on our minds every day: there should be action every day to further the goal.

The mind is a faithful servant, but a terrible master. What is a vessel? Both a container and a ship. You're the captain. You have authority over your thoughts. With love all things are possible. As a philosopher who disagrees with the other philosophers the narrator mentioned, relying too heavily on thinking is a trap in itself. Our inner guidance is not only in the mind. It is in the deepest reaches of ourselves that the brain does not have any access to. There are those who are intensely goal-driven who think that failure means forcing harder than before. So they force and force and yet for some reason, the universe doesn't grant them passage. And though the effort they exert in pursuit of their goals is gargantuan, success in the greatest sense eludes them. The mind wants to steer the ship, but it's the soul that has the map, the compass, and the strategy. So the people who succeed the most consistently in the long game are those who have learned to quiet the mind through meditative practices and other forms of stillness, in order to listen to the murmurs of their inner universe instead. These are the people whose inner knowing gives them the faith that they will survive the journey, the courage of clear purpose, and the perseverance to recognize failure is a vital step along the way.

I was thinking along similar lines. Action, in my experience, has been a means to become conscious of what is. If our thinking goes against "what is" what is will always work within us to make itself known through awareness.

Totally agree, this is what we have learned since he said this speech. The mind cannot override emotions, it is imperative to learn to process the things that get in your internal way of your goals. You can’t muscle your way out of fear, doubts, it’s much easier to learn the other law of processing emotions and using them as guides toward your successes, whatever they may be. Mind emotion must work in tandem, not against one another

Also, when it rains, it pours. For example, your life can turn positive once u think positive and go for your goals and get positive results and those positive results will fill your head with more positivity. Same goes for negativity. Think negatively and negative things will happen and because they happened, your mind will be filled with more negative thoughts pushing u further into the negative shit.

Success comes with the ability to work hard which usually catapults someone to the top in their career and let's them decide if they like it there or not rather than waste time dreaming and waiting for the top. It is the ability to plan 5-10 years ahead, ability to turn off ego and make drastic changes even if it's against all the past beliefs and goals. Very often people get stuck and possibly fail because of their ego that tells them that they couldn't be wrong, their initial choice was correct and they should stick with it. Not everyone's goals can be fruitful and not everyone's dreams might be sufficient when they are reached. Also age changes many things, what works and fees like success in 20s, may not in 30s and so on and when someone realizes that only when it happens, they area already behind.

I've come to realize that the key to amassing wealth lies in making sound investments. I purchased my first home at the age of 21 for $87,000 and sold it for $197,000. My second home, acquired for $170,000, was later sold for $320,000, and my third property, purchased at $300,000, fetched $589,000, with buyers covering all closing costs and expenses. Not reaching a million before retirement feels like an unfulfilled goal.

You did great, this feels more like propaganda than truth, I'm shocked by how ill logical it was. I at 25 help small business's while running my own. I see and very easily understand how the economy works finally. Simply put, money makes money and debt can be money, but banks are predatory and will always charge more than you can make on the loans pf poor people while giving better rates to wealthy people. If you where playing a video game where one person can borrow 100k at 2% apr and the other person at 8% apr that's a 6k diffrence in favor of the already wealthy person. It's doesn't stop there because inflation would also play a massive role in helping one person more while hurting the other person further. Growing up poor, the best I've learned is that we need to change the system, and that's my goal through memetics. ❤ you can kill a person, but you can't kill his ideas. I'm not saying I'm smart or even right most of the time, I just know that in america, keeping your head above water month to month is the best most people can do. Don't be ashamed of it, let's talk about it to create solutions ❤.

@MacroAggressor I understand how the housing creasing started, and it wasn't the people who were defaulting who were at fault. The private banks lied about the strength of their securities. I personally think that if that money had gone into business that was clearly outlined, it would be fine. Basically, it makes it easier to get an sba loan without 5 years of business or a large income at 2 years of business. If you made it easier to get a loan and file for bankruptcy for a company for everyone, everyone would be able to persue theor dreams and the economy, in my opinion, would catch on fire. I think you'd see inflation in a lot of items followed by deflation. It would be very uncomfortable, but it would begin to eat away at wealth inequality. I understand your fears, but as long as each loan was calculated reasonably and fairly, it would be no different that student loans, but for entrepreneurs. (So better)

In order to seek success, we must start from the idea that we need more than we currently have, we are not okay as we are, that something is missing and we are unfulfilled. That is a void that can never be filled. Goals are short term fixes, for those who lack awareness. The path can be progressive or regressive, it matters little, as long as the outcome is Transpersonal awareness. Don’t cling to this illusion it will soon fade away. Be grateful & forgive this dream. Other times I have given something half-hearted effort and success was plentiful. @Anonym-yr4qn

This is eerily relatable. I haven't deliberately put much effort into a certain goal, like building up status or some societal BS. I rather focused on building myself up internally, fixing the things that are broken, partially by understanding myself better. ...And in that, i was very successful. It is just like it was mentioned. I put a deliberate effort towards helping myself. I imagined it and i did it. ...just as i am putting a deliberate effort towards enjoying my life and existence while i still can. I haven't really ever put a serious deliberate effort towards any kind of career so far. Or at least only up to a certain point. I couldn't seem to find anything in society i would like to put a personal effort towards. None of all that matters to me, thus i just refused to make the effort so far and rather focused on things that i actually care about.

I had a bumpy start too. But, then I set a big goal and gave myself time to achieve it. I got a real "high" when I met that first big goal, so that really spurred me on. I'm a bit too late and too sick to achieve that degree of security or ability to help others as I'd like to, but I am so very blessed to still be here, have great family and friends, a genuine love for God's every creation and the ability to sometimes give good council to those in need of it. Yep, I agree with this, and there's one big challenge once you want to implement this in your life. It's not so easy to really know what you want and what is good for you. It turns out that a lot of desires you have are in fact social or family conditioning, and if you achieve them, they might even make you miserable. So, the real challenge is maybe not really to achieve something, but to truly find the goal that is aligned with your life's purpose. Thanks for this video and I wish you all the best!

The goal is the gift, and the gift is to be present. Your thoughts are dreams and hopes but you can only experience life here and now. Focus on the here and now, welcome everything, accept everything, let go… of everything. This is the flow state, total flexibility, no self-limitations (which means no negativity or doubts). Trust, yourself, the universe, the whole damn thing! You are the creator, and as Earl points out, our thoughts are the process of creation. 🙏🏻❤️‍🔥😇
