Damn! I used to live in Trenton. I was just there a few months ago to get a copy of my divorce decree. City always felt like it should've been so much more than it is. MOBFAX just keeps delivering.

The people featured here are clearly inner city and under educated. But they sound so down to earth and smart compared to todays urban youth. Limited vocabularly but the convey their feelings well. Things have gotten so much worse over the last 32 years

The reality is most people, even in the hood, don't grow up like these people did back then, and they desperately want to be down like they were so they put on their worst impression of what they think being hood means, aka dumbing themselves and their speech down to sound cool

“How about you do you work?” “Me? No, I’m on welfare. I’ll tell you one thing though I take care of my kids and do what I’m supposed to do” Being on welfare is the complete opposite of taking care of your children and these people see it as a hand out. Demolish all projects.

@@brutallyhonest5392if there was no welfare, there’d be a much higher crime rate unfortunately. These people can’t even afford heat, AC, diapers or clothes for their 10 children While on welfare. What do you think they’ll do if that’s taken away? What a sad way to live just waiting for government handouts.
