i really admire them a lot and impress by their talents and how such all rounders they are. however, it is quite sad to see the standard of 'strong vocal' for 4th gens became super low.. yk what i mean if you are a fan of other gens, or maybe bcs they are pretty new and still havent discover much? thats possible also. but they are great either ways :))

True but they started off being too damn serious in their ygtb era...it was brutal and i think thats why they're allowed to clown around so much now because they worked hard to get here. And after their debut in 2020 whenever they talked about their dreams and performing for the world they got very serious. When it comes to things like that their drive and determination really shows. esp hyunsuk, yedam and mashi have expressed it the most. But jihoon and asahi never take their place for granted and they give everything their all. Ofc the other members feel that way too but they tend to express that less to be strong for teumes.

And during the awarding ceremony they introduced txt as the 4th gen leaders which they have proved themselves with their achievements. N rn on twt a co fandom of txt is currently crazy n mad that txt r being introduced as 4th gen leaders n nothing like this about their favs. They even discredited txt saying txt doesn't deserve the title. Ateez is not weak in rap. They have two very good rappers. Stray Kids IMO has the best 4th gen rap line and some rappers who are as good as or better than 2nd/3rd gen.

@@kpoppipie I don't think that's true. have you heard their boy in luv cover, beomgyu and taehyun hitting the high note, opening sequence - taehyun. soobins vocals are literally heaven, hyukas vocals too. beomgyu and soobin in crown, the entire song of 'can't you see me,' etc. there's way more but those are some examples

I know nothing on vocals, but recently i went to yeoun channel i think he is a music or vocal student and he assessed and ranked kpop idols singing ability. Only 2 skz members and 1 txt and 1 ex treasure (yedam 😭😭😭😭) are in the sub standard-standard tier and they are at the bottom. I forgot if one treasure member is there too or he is on a lower tier. There is still a higher tier I can't remember the name. So basically there are roughly about 20 or so more idols from less popular group who are stronger in their vocal techniques and there is only 1 person who are on the highest tier. The channel is open for public. i thought yedam, my fave vocal of all generation is flawless, but turns out he is not the best in his technique and i accept that truth

It's funny how most of these kpop groups who have 'Rapping' as their weak point when they don't even rap in their songs, for example New Jeans did not have a rap part in any of their songs, and Ive on had a rap part in their recent comeback After like, but most of these groups sing in their songs and don't rap 🤦🏾♀️😭

As far as I know, when Ive's individual teaser released, all the members showed their talent, both Gaeul and Rei showed that they can rap, write, and compose, they also had few youtube contents included where Gaeul and Rei can be seen rapping and writing songs (or at least just the rap), you can try and check their contents out for clarification.

I agree, Treasure & SKZ has no weakness. both groups are strong in vocals, rap, dance & stage presence. Even in songwriting, both groups wrote most of their songs , if not all.

I don't think it's that...a lot of hybe subsdiciaries like newjeans, txt and seventeen songs also are not so focus on rap. And i think it's a good thing considering a lot of other groups songs seems to always have rap, it can get too noisy at times and a good song doesn't need rap, like hype boy

Tbh, I don’t really think it matters if a group is ‘weak’ at rap. A lot of the best kpop songs don’t have raps or have very small rap sections, and I don’t think kpop groups really need a ‘rapper’ like they did in 1st-3rd gens

I agree but There are groups that are mainly rap .. you don’t to be a vocal group if you’re a rap group and the opposite is the same .. but u can’t deny the fact that rap/vocals/dance are separate talents that have their own world and qualities… however I do feel like you need to be good In either vocal or rap if you’re a dance group since its music

They do have a pair of competent rappers in her and Kyujin, which is good, plus all the other girls can pull up where needed. That said, there's a reason why they're the group with 7 main vocals. That's easily their biggest strength. Just because their rapping isn't as good as their singing, it doesn't automatically mean it's bad. And it doesn't mean people are calling them bad either.

I don't think aespa SP is weak at all recently I watched a cover of illusion and I understand that some of theirs songs had to be performed in certain facial expressions for example savage in other side they did really well in other songs like dreams comes true and life's too short I think that's something related with concept also their strong talents are vocal and rap I recently discovered them but Giselle is real rapper her synk teaser and her stage collab with hyoyeon were insane I heard that she wrote it too!

People saying TXT have weak vocals haven't heard them sing live, TXT's songs are hard to sing because most of it are high pitched but they managed to become stable while dancing to difficult choreography and they have the Golden Vocalist Kang Taehyun ✨ Before you say they have weak rap, just wait until they're given heavy rap songs. Non-moas don't know that all members can rap well but even ex-bighit trainees said that TXT have only shown 10% of their skills, Soobin was acknowledged as Yeonjun's rival in rapping and he mentioned that he used to get all the rap parts until debut.

+HueningKais unique magical and passionate vocals + Yeonjun natural auto tune + Soobins stable and strong enough beautiful falsetto voice + Beomgyus soothing voice Taehyun Hyuka Soobin and Yeonjun have great vocals .. we haven’t seen much from Beomgyu considering the type of lines and notes he gets but hes not bad and no where near weak he’s average .. the rest are great vocalists .. especially Taehyun and HueningKai.. Those who say TXT main vocal is weak probably watched one of those old KZfaq video who rank 4thGen vocalists.. they barely know how to use logic and check the latest (I’m trying my best to not exaggerate so I’m not saying much because even I did most wont understand since they know nothing about those categories)

Also it drives me crazy when they think heavy/fast rap is any different from TXTs rap .. Literally both have their qualities.. In raps like TXT u need to develop a good skill in vocals to support your flow and create your own unique techniques that require a lot of character and experience so that it won’t sound plain ..meanwhile u don’t have to worry about these in fast rap .. u need good breath support + clear and clean pronunciation or mumbled in a satisfying way + add a unique style that’s the main point where you stand out in fast rap… some add techniques but they’re not heavy cause it messes up the speed and flow of the fast rap and it’s genuinely hard to (respect for those rappers who manage to make it work out) If you go deeper neither are harder than the other .. they’re both the same .. I can easily switch from fast to flow and struggle from different issues that I don’t struggle when I’m rapping fast .. and literally if I apply what I use fast rap aspects with slower rap I’ll end up sounding dull and lose breath support because of the lack of character and techniques + vocal support .. same goes with slow to fast ..so from all my essay.. I think it clearly shows how neither can do the others work

Not the comments saying TXT can't rap 💀 Rap isn't just about speed, it is Rhythm And Poetry. Yeonjun has them all the flow, tone, delivery, wordplay and lyricism he even developed his own style. He's the only active rapper in TXT for now but other members can rap too, Soobin used to get all the rap parts until debut, Taehyun literally auditioned for rap, Beomgyu was a rapper during their rookie days, Huening Kai has the most rap parts after YJ and he also raps in their song covers.
