Manowar is legend on metal scene. Eric Adams (singer) is one of the best singers ever, no joke about this. This song is a anthem for fans (called Immortals or Manowarrriors) so he just chill mostly. He is very famous for his very high screams. Joey is crazy with his bass like not many out there and whole band is in Guinness book of record... twice! For loudest band in the world and for the longest live performance (5 hours and 1 minute) Eric is in his 70s and he can still sing incredibly live. Ohhh and small fact... Manowar owns the best song that has ever been written (you are not ready yer :)) need to hear more songs from them like, "power" , "mountain" , "hail and kill", "crown and the ring" etc etc but Achilles Agony and Ecstasy In Eight Parts (28mins long epic masterpiece) is like none other... trust me and the competition for best song is strong Iced Earth - Dante's Inferno (live with Matt Barlow) Celesty - Legacy of Hate pt1, pt2 and pt3 Theocracy - Mirror Of Souls (incredible journey) Nightwish - Poet And The Pendulum (live with Floor Jansen) etc etc

Manowar was one of the first metal bands that used fantasy and mythology as the themes for their music. Another of the older bands in this genre is Hammerfall. My son introduced me to those two bands twenty years ago and started me on my metal journey. there are hundreds of bands around the world making amazing metal music. I highly recommend Blind Guardian if you have not listened to them. They use both fantasy (especially Lord of the Rings) and history as themes. Try "Time Stands Still at the Iron Hill" which is about the elves fighting Morgoth in Middle Earth. great reaction, subbed for your metal journey, keep rocking.

The singer, Eric Adams have a voice range so he can sing opera too. Check out their rock opera take on Nessum Dorma.
