The LEGO games I don't count because they're still LEGO BATMAN or LEGO DC Superheroes/villains. Superman is not the central focus and I think that's what Joe has issues with and I agree.

Yeah evil Superman was cool the one time but now he is more overdone and i would love to see a superman game. Just have him fly to space and take on armies of aliens or give the bad guys kryptonite armor, or maybe the game takes place during an eclipse of some kind. The problem is that I don't think that it would be possible to make a fun game where you play as Superman unless you make it so that every enemy has kryptonite or something. The "Ahhh green rock make me weak" is more overdone than the evil Superman trope, I feel.

Lewis Atherton Superman’s struggle is based upon his decisions and how they effect others. A Superman game done right would be a rich story narrative with choices being made that effect and change the outcome of circumstances, people’s view of you, and the future of humanity. And yes Superman is powerful but he can be killed by darkseid and doomsday. I’m sure brainiac could do it too. Against regular bad guys he could be super powerful, but against supervillains he could still struggle.

He's actually had very few evil appearances. Injustice and this, along with Red Son and as an Injustice Lord in Justice League. So, if anything, him being a boy scout is overdone. You'd actually have known that, if you actually knew anything about the character. Which you obviously don't.
