Claudia was always a solo act, she rose to fame without being in this group, she is not part of the 'Trinity' and or 'I Don't Get Out of Bed For Less Than $10,000 A Day' group. It was The Guess Jeans campaign that give Claudia the media attention and it was her contract with Chanel that made her a superstar in fashion. Her relationship with David Copperfield also kept her in the spotlight. When you think of Claudia, you don't really think of Linda, Cindy, Christy and Naomi. Not all 1990s models are tied together.. Truth be told, Claudia's Revlon campaigns and American Vogue covers were very lackluster and very forgettable. However, her European work trumps everything she did in the USA. It seems the USA just domesticated her looks with the exception of Guess Jeans.

Schiffer wasn't a part of the historical significance of what this documentary is covering. She was a by-product of it.

right. If you watch the documentary, all the girls talk about how the legendary photographers they worked with like Steven, Richard, Patrick, etc, helped mould them into the supermodels they became. They would instruct them like directors. Nowadays, these girls aren't trained in the same way. It was a craft back then because it was revered more.

NO shade towards Kate or Claudia, but the missing model from this line up was Tatiana Patiz, who passed away earlier this year. The iconic British Vogue cover, photographed by Peter Lindbergh and the "FREEDOM" video by George Michael, launched these '5' to dizzying heights. Claudia then Kate came after this.

As for Schiffer, not saying anything about the 90's and her is like not mentioning Brigitte Bardot when they talk about French sex symbols and Saint Tropez. Schiffer was the first on Time magazine, the first on Rolling Stone, the first to make multiple multimillion dollar contracts for mainstream and high fashion simultaneously, holds the record of most magazine covers until today and the list of firsts and accomplishments goes on. So again, I love Naomi, I love Claudia,, that is not the issue, the issue is leaving the leading 90's star out of the 90's show when she even happens to live in the country it was done is just ridiculous and obviously biased for whatever reason. The one I don't care for or agree with the supermodel status is Evangelista who I don't consider versatile, changing hair color and cut 575 while still making the same face with half open mouth in every picture is not being a chameleon in my opinion. And she is absolutely unknown outside the world of fashion and was even in her hay day, that's not arguable its just a fact which excludes her from the very list of requirements to be a true supermodel she has uttered endlessly.

um... everyone who knows about 90s supermodels knows that the official Supermodels are the Trinity. the others are good too, but the Trinity is the pinnacle of Supermodels. They are fashion Royalty. The rest were secondary. Simple as that.

Schiffer wasn't a part of the Trinity, she wasn't in the George Michael Freedom video, nor was she in the two most iconic photos that became emblematic of the Supermodel era. Simple. It's Linda, Christy, Naomi, & Cindy followed by everyone else.
