Great vid, great list, though a little optimistic on some of em for my tastes. Long post warning xD Asurmen suffers from 2 things to me: The unit this guy can lead is just kinda bad, and his abilities, damage and survivability don't really reflect the cost for me. Almost double the cost of a full 10-man DA unit is way too much. Perhaps for 95 points he'd be good. C tier for me. Baharroth suffers from too high a cost for the damage, surviability and abilities he brings as well. If you want move shoot move, spend less points on Shadow Spectres. C tier. Both Corsair units belong in C for me. Jacks of all Trades, masters of none, and get outperformed by more specialized options we have at any job you put them to. Dark Reapers really rely on facing an opponent that suffer against the Exarch's indirect. Any T4+ 2W+ infantry make it very easy for this weapon, but also the unit in general, to whiff. B tier for me. Dire Avengers have been consistently awful for me so far. Generally just not that great at the job they're made for, and I can never find the points to spare for them. They should be experts at holding the line, but an objective centered unit that can't reliably hold an objective doesn't belong any higher than C to me. Maybe if they had sustained hits 1 on overwatch they could push into "good" territory. I think it's too early to call if Fire Prisms belong in S. Mid A would be a safer bet I think. They're good as 2, arguably even decent as 1 just as a versatile gun platform. I have not enjoyed playing Guardians at all this edition, not even after the SoF nerf. Very fragile, lackluster shooting now that Bright lances aren't as great as they were. Good screening for the backfield for about 3 turns, but then they'll most likely die if you haven't been able to keep the opponent away from your backfield. Just kinda meh, High C perhaps. Howling Banshees: D tier. Silly example as well, no decent Drukhari player would charge these with Incubi, they'd get shot up with Splinter cannons, or splinter anything for that matter. If their best use case is having them come in from reserves to mop up a damaged unit, it's clear they just don't do what the lore would suggest they do, a running theme with some aspect warriors. Cooled a bit on Illic. Since phantasm got nerfed you're putting a lot of points into a big risk of losing at least 125 points to a couple bad dice rolls. He can still put the hurt on characters though, just not as great as he has been. Might even bump him down to B. First one I rate higher than your rating. Karandras has been putting in a ton of work for me. Great weapons, great abilities. Sustained hits 1 on half your attacks on the charge AND dev wounds mean he can dish out substantial damage when played right. I'd bump him up to a low S. Maugan Ra is laughably overcosted. The fact that he's the worse Death Jester says it all. Does nothing for his unit either. D tier, one of the worst. Giant model as well, hard to hide xD Storm Guardians on S is very you, but no. B tier. Throwing Fortune and a LFR on these seems like a waste to me, almost always better targets for those. Scorpions I'd actually rate higher than you as well. They're solid, especially when led by Karandras. Low A tier for me. Vypers I just have a hard time justifying the points of in my lists. Could be B as you say, in the right list, but that right list isn't a great list most of the time, I feel. I'd put it as a high C. The Webway Gate does not deserve to be on the list, F tier.

Great vid! Super interested in an overview of your game with hypercrypt if you're considering it. My most frequent matchup is into them because my literal neighbour runs them. His staples are Nightbringer, Transcendent Ctan, 2 doomsday arks, 2 X 6 wraiths with technomancers for objectives, and littered with smaller units like heavy destroyers, single regular destroyers for screening (so cheap), and some other small infantry units. Lately he's brought out the Seraptek Heavy Construct on occasion instead of CTans or other unts. Super obnoxious army to deal with 😵

This was a nice rundown! I still haven't tsking the plunge into eldar, despite them probably being my favorite faction, but they seem like a really expensive army to collect. However, I like theorizing untiI, so I am prepared when i take the plunge. A question: I really like windriders but am not sure how to make the most of them. Would you run 6 or 9 as a damage dealing unit? And would you include a warlock and/or a farseer skyrunner? Also, an idea for a video: Build the cheapest possible list, while still keeping it functiona. Eg starting with a combat patrol (or two?) and adding units, while keeping an eye towards the units that bring the most point/money while still being at least decent - I would love to see that 😁

I think wraithbone form and abilities like it that specifically don't specify "to a minimum of 1" should negate 1 damage weapons. A lasgun shouldn't do anything against it

Shadowseer lets Troup Advance and Charge and reroll charges and gives Stealth. How is it D tier? It's solid B tier. Other than that, list looks pretty good. I will point out that Aeldari have a flex group that are highly meta dependent: D-Cannons, then Fire Prisms, then Wraithguard, now Fire Dragons + Falcons. Other units got point costed down several tiers: D-cannons, Wraithknights, Nightspinners. Other units bounce between S and A: Shroud Runners, Rangers, War Walkers/Vipers/Hornets.

I've really struggled to make firedragons work? S9 into guard / marine tanks - most T10, T11+ so without Fuegan, guard or marines pop smoke. Dragons hit on 4+ wounds on 5+...even with two wounds (being lucky) your averaging 6 wounds on a 12 wound tank which next turn, annihilates you....!? You have to go into transport or t8 stuff which is often screened from the falcon and then your not trading because the transport vehicles are also around 80 points .. Haven't made them work for me!?

I think you're sleeping on the Visarch, with Sustained 2 in a harlequin unit so he gets +1 to wound is terrifying. Fights first is getting a lot more traction now that you have a few more melee armies on the rise (especially Drukhari) I cannot recommend the Yvraine + Visarch Harlequin brick enough now that Indirect is at a higher premium.

I would put Autarch skyrunner in c or even d. Terrible damage, no good bodyguards, meh ability. Footarch I can at least make an argument for running with a guardian squad of either flavour, abusing matchless agility, feigned retreat, -1 to hit, go to ground, and just being annoying with fastish OC2 infantry.

gigaChad Storm Guardians lol? They are just "ok" If they were like 80 points and then I would say yes 100% I am going to try to use them with a warlock to get that extra 6" movement to run to another objective to get Sticky on it though.

I love these kinds of lists, but I flip them over. These lists tell me what units i can spam and just play really hard with. The weaker they are the better.

Bro you literally said that the D-impaler from the Cobra "isn't exactly an anti horde weapon" Dude, it's a BLAST weapon that shoots 6.5 times on average before including the bonus shots from the BLAST keyword and that's with devastating wounds at STR 16 AP -4!!!! You could say it is the best anti-horde weapon in the whole fricking game! If you point this weapon at a horde, that horde likely just gets wiped off the board. This weapon can sometimes pick up 10 or more models in a single volley of shots. Also the ability of the Cobra (which you basically called bad) literally triggers every shooting round and it has the chance to create up to 3 mortal wounds even if no other unit is near the unit you shot at with your D-impaler or up to 6 mortal wounds if any unit is within 3 inches of that unit. Any ability that has a chance to cause that many mortal wounds every shooting phase seems pretty good to me. Also if your enemy bunches up like 3 or 4 units close to each other this ability could cause a crazy amount of mortal wounds. Whether or not you want to call the weapon "anti-horde", I'd say the Cobra deserves some more respect then D tier. Also it's better then the Scorpion IMO.
