The High Court rules that Jan. 6 rioters can't be charged with obstructing Congress, and that homeless camping isn't constitutionally protected.

I think the underlying question that is being avoided is if we should bring the insane asylums back to house the mentally challenged homeless people for the long term

You must be a Republican. Rather than the homeless lacking affordable housing, they are just mentally ill. So you likely believe that poverty is not a financial issue, it is just a character flaw.

How about we attack the underlying issues that make housing unaffordable... like income inequality and corporate greed. Your other option is to treat the symptoms. We need affordable housing. We need all-inclusive shelters. We need designated camping areas with porta potties. While actually addressing the root of the problem.

If public camping is criminalized there will be over 2 million criminal citizens that live full time in their vehicles, all over America. Some encampments are nonsense and a health risk to the public. Use common sense.

"Homebodies" don't like to be "fat-shamed" yet have a nasty habit of "home-shaming" City Settlers by labeling them "homeless or houseless." Where are the settlers' landings that once enriched and accommodated city newcomers? Many of these home-shamers are distant descendants of settlers enjoying their rich American Heritage -- and yet because of that wouldn't think twice about "home-shaming American Indians" now either.
