Coming from someone who also never got a “one knee on the ground with plenty serenre” - I totally agree with you. Given the fact that our parents were the ones who introduced us plus It was a long distance courtship … All I got was a video clip of screenshots from our innumerable video calls and his proposal speech sliding over each screenshot. It was cheesy and hilarious 🤣. I wanted a proposal and he knew it but at the time - he made do with the resources available given the distance. We’ve been married for a year now and it’s been a beautiful blend of harmony, peace, friendship and laughter and all I can say that I’d choose him over and over again with the cheesy video proposal 🙈😌😁

This was so so good to watch. I also had an intimate proposal shortly before our introduction and I am glad that it's not just us going against the norm. The society has really put false ideas of reality in our minds and it's sad that people now minor on the major (the marriage itself) and major on the minor (proposal). I pray for contentment for us all tbh

This is beautiful. A "planned proposal" definitely adds some sweetness to everything but if a woman refuses her man's marriage request because there was no "planned proposal" then i believe she probably wasn't ready to be married or they weren't meant to be. It's also really really important for intending couples to talk about these things. Know what your partner likes so you can decide if you can work with that or if you both need to reach a compromise. I'm not experienced in all of these sha, these are just my thoughts. Looking forward to the wedding videos Erinma💃
