A bicycle from my older brother when we were very young. I might have been nine and he 11..... I used his bike one day without his permission and it got stolen outside of our local toy store. So, my father made me give my brother my bicycle. (Which I understood was only fair). Months later, at Christmas my brother bought me a used bicycle that had been refurbished by a local man. He used his own money to buy it. At the time a bicycle was a monumental, aspirational gift. It wasn't something you expected to receive from your brother who was only eighteen months older than you and we were living in a essentially lower middle class situation so money was not abundant. We have very different personalities, and had a very strong sibling rivalry as kids, so it really was an amazing gesture. It's been close to 50 years and I still almost tear up when I think about it.

A second chance.I died 4 times during surgery for cancer in my cerebellum. Life is the best gift. I thank God for the good & the bad. It beats the alternative. I'm not done loving, living, and praising God . Live like you know tomorrow you will die.

Yeh, everyone always thinks of John and Paul as the closest ones but Paul and George knew each other first.

That’s not really Paul. It’s a guy named Billy who won a lookalike contest. Paul died in the 60’s. All the world’s a stage.

I’m sure George would’ve found this very touching and hilariously funny! I wouldn’t be surprised if George’s spirit visits Paul at the tree, and that’s why Paul feels close to George when he’s near the tree. I live in Oxfordshire, near where George’s beloved home was, where he spent so many hours in his beautiful garden. I’m sure I’ve felt George’s presence too when I’ve been in the area ~ his spirit is still around, I believe it for certain.

Paul & George did make peace & last saw each other while George was in Switzerland fighting cancer not long before his death. George actually died at Paul's home in Los Angeles.

Yep. Paul's ego was still very much in the way. Paul is now using this tree to deflect all the past injuries for which he never made real amends to George, preferring instead to continue slighting him sideways: "He was like a little brother" (vs. inseparable and dearly loved colleague). Very patronizing, musically, and "George has entered that tree, *for me.* I hope hes happy with that." Still patronizing.

Actually, they recorded another Beatles song together with a recording of John from Yoko. It was called Free As A Bird. George and Paul reconnected as friends before that and Paul held George's hand as he was dying.

@@francisseidel8014 yeah of course I know that, it was for the Anthology album but It's The Beatles (more or less) it wasn't a collaboration with Paul!!! That's what I'm saying!!!

He was asked to respond to the news the McCartney now wished to write with him, and Harrison replied, "he's a little late, after all these years". Also, you will find various clips where Harrison and Lennon are giving McCartney a little jab

@@bjohnston3659 That piano intro to While My Guitar Gently Weeps was Paul. The guitar solo on Taxman was Paul. Listen to who was harmonizing with George in all of his songs. Yep, None other than Paul. In the film Let It Be, Paul was listening intently to George while he was demoing I Me Mine. John was cavorting with Yoko while at the same time ridiculing the song. Maybe Paul didn't contribute lyrics to any of his songs but it didn't mean that Paul never helped him write them.

@@connieward2042 Seen it, pretty good. I recommend Bob Spitz's "The Beatles: The Biography." Extremely long, but incredibly thorough and well-referenced. (It was the assigned text for the Beatles class I got the opportunity to take back in college. Was super awesome!)
