Thank you. I love the affect of a good wash... but am always afraid of killing the work I have done to that point. I have exclusively used Mode.l Master enamel to paint my kits or oil based paints. Washes attacking the the paint. Future over it some luck. But still a little wrinkling of the paint(on landing gear and inside of landing gear doors) it’s a enough to put the brakes on for a nice finished surface. I bought some X-22 and have yet to try it. Sorry for such long post, I guess its more of just me bitching for not switching to acrylics. I love your videos and thank you keep up the good work

Thanks for the video. My opinion is you're using way too much thinner when you remove the excess. Just moisten the q tip, dab off the excess then wipe off the excess wash. Much better control. For the sludge do the same with a thinner dampened paper towel or make-up sponge. I stick with an odorless thinner which is not as regular mineral/white spirits.

Long story short, use satin! I generally paint, decals, matte coat, satin coat and then enamel weathering.
