The mcdonald burgers in canada are actually better than the american ones. The canadian ones taste more i gues "fresh" and aren't soggy and mushy. The one i had in america was pretty bad. I love all burgers so i still liked it but it was below average for me

Couldn't agree more. People who say lettuce tastes like nothing don't know what they are talking about. Also "lettuce" is a really broad term. There is iceberg, romaine, arugula, butterlettuce. Even iceberg, the one that people criticize the most has a taste. But the thing is, lettuce is usually a lot more about texture than taste. I don't know. A burger without lettuce to me just, feels wrong.

I see why Plan Check won. A 50/50 blend of short rib and chuck. Anytime you add short rib to a burger, it immediately takes that burger to another level.

What I learned is that there is no best burger, it's all up to your personal preference and what you grew to love first.

zukodude487987 not really imo. Besides initially tasting a new flavor there is a hierarchy of taste. I can objectively say from trying a spam sandwich from my own kitchen and trying a ribeye steak sandwich from fuddruckers, that the steak sandwich is better. I guess there are a few outliers, and different cultures react differently to inferior food, but we seem to all like the same stuff if we have lived in the same area for long enough.
