Camped there years ago. First time i ever saw a javelina . Crossed the Rio Grand in a little row boat. Flipped the boat guy a $5 bill. Had a beer and came back. Ate at Vans' dessert bistro after leaving the park. Lots of tarantulas on the parks road.

Very beautiful part of our state! Was fortunate enough to get to visit for a week of motorcycling adventure long ago.

I go to Big Bend whenever I can. But its gotten WAY busier since the pandemic. No longer the best kept secret in national parks.

This is so true. I have been visiting Big Bend since 1982. Up until the last few years it was like a private getaway. Didn't need campsite reservations and there were plenty of open sites.

Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear this. We are going in a couple weeks and the silence described in this video is one of the things I most looking forward to.

@@Irishrose18 I was only talking about the campsites/Basin area. With over 800,000 acres silence is everywhere.

@@LajitasRain So happy to hear(no pun intended)😂We won’t be camping as hubby is not a big fan but this is our 4th year buying a National Park Pass as we are getting older so trying to hit them all and I have been noticing the utter lack of respect a lot of people show to the parks. It’s starting to become slightly disheartening😔Thanks for the reply.

Won't see a contrail, but what about a chemtrail? If the answer is NO then I'm all in!
