Welcome to another episode of "To Buy or Not To Buy. What is "To Buy or Not To Buy" do you ask? Well it is where I will be sharing products that I have purchased and I will state if I think that they are worth buying or not. Now these are my opinion based off my first use or many uses, this is not meant to be anything negative against the product or the company. So with that being said stay tuned to the end of this video to see if the featured product will be a "To Buy or Not To Buy" or a "Maybe Buy".
In this video I will be featuring the We R Makers "Thermal Cinch". You maybe wondering what was the reason I purchased the We R Markers Thermal Cinch......The fact that it is a product from We R Makers and it caught my attention, great presentation on HSN (Thank You Aly) and of course the color. Plus I was eager to see what it was all about even tho I had no real background on it, other then seeing it on HSN. Fast forward to now and a few projects under my belt, I can now give my views on the Thermal Cinch but you will need to stay tuned to the end of the video to find out. So will the
We R Makers "Thermal Cinch" get two thumbs up or two thumbs down or will it get one thumb up for a maybe?
We R Makers "Thermal Cinch" can only be purchased at HSN until the release in March 2024.
HSN: Item Number 078-198 $84.95 as of 2/16/2024 (3.6 out of 5)
I'm not being paid by or given free products from any company above or any company at all to use their products. All products are bought by myself with my own funds.
I Hope this video helps you find the CRAFTINESS inside of you and helps you try a new product.
Please like, share and subscribe to this channel "Just Crafting Along". You can also find Just Crafting Along on facebook.
As always lots of LOVE and I'll see ya all soon

Thank you for this review. I bought this machine from HSN. I was going to return it because of another video I watched where the demonstrator had no success with her project. You did a great job explaining the procedure, and giving very helpful tips to avoid problems. I think I am going to keep it now! Thank you!

I think because you are using binder paper it’s easier for the book to open up. Card stock is thicker and stiff which makes it harder to open. I’m currently working on a book of card stock however I am scoring about 3/8” towards the binding to see if it will open a little better than what I’ve seen. Thanks for sharing you just gave me a ton of ideas!! ☮️❤️

I'm so glad you were able to find some good ideas. I did use binding that came with the kit in the purple book but in the green I used card stock. The card stock was very thin maybe 65 lb or less so it was very easy to score. The next video I will be posting I used 110 lb card stock and made a water fall cover and I was able to score at 1/4 inch and it worked really well. I have a few more project lined up and I will be doing a bigger spine, fingers crossed it all turns out. Please keep me posted on your finished project and crafting adventure, would love to hear all about it.

I have had a similar machine for years. The difference is mine will also laminate like a regular laminator front to back, and bind from the top like this one.

Should be best in this case of it's tipability to stand it where if hit, it will not completely tip over. Like near a wall that if you test it, just a fraction of the top will hit the wall where it is not hot and stop it from completely going over. As it is not only kids you have to worry about, it's pets as well. My cat is a good example of how I have to set up my craft table as he likes to jump and run if he sees something out of the window knocking things flying in his haste.

What are the advantages over any other thermal binder/
@justcraftingalongtogether
@justcraftingalongtogether 4 ай бұрын
I think with the We R Makers Thermal Cinch the only advantage would be the cost from HSN and the fact you get a bundle pack with it. This bundle pack has some extra glue strips and spines. I have never worked with any other thermal binding machines, so I believe the machines would be the same but the price and goodies would be the difference. HSN Bundle (Item # 856-510 for $84.95) you get the follow items with this bundle. www.hsn.com/products/we-r-makers-thermal-cinch-binding-machine-kit/21894722 Mint Thermal Cinch binding machine; approx. 14.5" x 3.25" 18 Thermal Cinch spines; 6 each Neutral colors, Rainbow colors or Die-cut 12 Thermal Cinch glue strips Clip 3 Binding spines; 1 each: Mint, Blush, Brown Set of instructions See this example from Amazon (close looking to the Thermal Cinch) this even has the dust cover that turns into a book cooling slot that goes for $229 with no extra supplies. a.co/d/2QODtgB I hope this helps. XOXO Happy Crafting!

❓❓❓Question: where did you get your thermal tape rolls? Also, when you get the machine, does it give you information on if you could order more of their bindings? I’m new to your channel by the way. I really appreciate this informative video. I was on the fence of buying this machine and I just purchased one on Amazon. I got the pink one.

The big black tape holder (I think this is what you mean) it is just a 3 inch office tape holder and I has regular double side adhesive on it. The holder was $4.00 ish and the double side adhesive is from Dollar Tree. The only "Thermal" adhesive you need is the glue strips. The glue stripes many people are saying you can get off amazon (probably under Thermal Binding Glue Strips) You could always check out We R Makers website or HSN (currently sold out) There is instruction and I did not come across any where to order. I'm so happy that you got and let me tell ya if the pink was not sold out on HSN, I would of possibly gotten that one too....so stinking cute. I love both color and I do believe pink beats out the mint (even tho mint is my go to) I hope this helps please reach out if need more information and I'll try my best to help out. Oh my gosh. For $85.00 I could buy a ton of hot glue sticks and do the same thing. Worth the money you spend? Maybe if you have money to burn, but most people I know are on some kind of spending budget. Maybe we should be making more videos about how to do our crafting without breaking the bank instead of inticing them to spend money on things when they can produce the same effect much cheaper, and, might I say, much quicker, in this case. Thanks for showing me what this machine is all about, I was curious. But, NO, I will not spend that much money to put a strip of glue on the top of some stacked paper.
@justcraftingalongtogether

I appreciate your view and I thought the same thing before buying it but not sure glue sticks would work for book binding. Tho I do wonder if I melted the glue down to liquid form and dipped the book spine in it, if that would work. I'm up for any challenge if this would help you know if it would work. Do you have a craft in mind that you would like me to try out? I would love to do that and let me know the price range is right for you and I'll do my best to find the items at cost effective prices and get a video made in hope it will help you and many others. This is why I started this channel, in hopes to help others find their crafty way. Please keep me posted if you think of something I could try out. XOXO Happy Crafting.

@@justcraftingalongtogether Thank you for your kind reply. I didn’t mean to come off offensive and I’m sorry if it seemed that way. Crafting should be fun for everyone. I buy most of my supplies at thrift stores or dollar tree. I am a true shopaholic but love to find a bargain. I just need to learn that I don’t need the latest and greatest to be happy with crafting. I probably have enough that I won’t be able to use it all in my lifetime. I tried to do a “no spend” in February, but that didn’t work out too well. One trip to Hobby Lobby and I was sunk. Anyway, your idea of melting the glue just might work. Like I said, I have been binding notepads with hot glue or just regular Elmers glue since the ‘80s. That is how the nursing staff made our notepads at the Veterans Home with scrap paper. I don’t know if this method would work on a full size book, but for what you were showing, I’m certain that it would. Again, please forgive me for being so outspoken. I surely do not want to upset or offend anyone.

No need to apologize I took no offensive at all. I'm a thrift store junkie, found most of my treasures from my local store. My favorite crafting tools are from The Dollar Tree (pink pointy tool) I'm so hooked on that place too. I too agree I have way to much crafting items that I need to use up. I would love to hear how you binded books with hot glue, I'm always up to learn new thing and to have a great crafting adventure with other crafter. Please know I'm here to bounce ideas off of and would so be happy to try out something new to share with others. Please feel free to be outspoken with me, I will always listen and be happy to help in anyway. Thank you for the sweet reply and know I'm always here. XOXO Happy Crafting @walker4704
