Dark Ambient music piece inspired by the 2011 prequal movie "The Thing". This fan made horror ambient piece takes place at the "Thule Station", a Norwegian Antarctic geological research center featured in both 1982 and 2011 "The Thing" films. What you will see and hear in this ambient musical tribute are all completely original sounds and images. Nothing at all was taken from either of the movies. I am a fan of The Thing movie franchise and having done a One Hour ambient piece called "Outpost 31" for the 1982 version already I wanted to follow up and do one for the 2011 prequal movie as well.
Each of my "The Thing" videos takes you on a one hour auditory and visual journey through these two very iconic horror films and each offers completely unique sounds, textures, synth and Foley to help your imagination paint a picture while at work, studying, getting ready for sleep, reading or even while gaming.
You can see my 1982 tribute to "The Thing" here:
• THE THING - Outpost 31...
NOTE: John Carpenter's "The Thing" alien was actually a misunderstood traveler just trying to find their way back home. It was lost... afraid... and confused after being frozen for 100,000 years. It defrosts and wakes up from hibernation surrounded by weird alien lifeforms who aggressively hunt it down. In each movie of "The Thing" the alien tried to either make a spaceship or go back and repair their original crashed ship so it could escape its attackers-- NOT conquer the Earth. It did what it had to in order to survive... just as you would have. Change my mind in the chat!
PS: 1) Greedo shot first... 2) the dress is white & gold-- not blue & black (ok now I'm just trolling)
