When we were young we would climb trees, leap over creeks and do all sorts of crazy things without any hesitation or fear of consequence. Our imaginations led us to believe we could do anything, be anything and conquer everything... As we grow older... Our imaginations yield to rigidity and skepticism... Our dreams and aspirations give in to complacency and conformity... and everything that made us daring, unique, and fearless is buried deep by all the bruises, cuts and scars that this broken world has to offer. If I could offer you one bit of advice... One single suggestion to contemplate... A pointer for you to ponder... Some guidance for you to gander... That, my friend, would be to... never stop climbing, never stop leaping, never hesitate and whatever you do... And I can't stress this enough-- Never... Ever... Give in to conformity. Never ever stop dreaming... and remember to always-- in every moment of your life... be fearless.

Whatever you're going thru... It'll pass. I know this myself. It doesn't mean you won't have to endure the pain, the loneliness, the scrutiny, rejection or heartbreak of the moment-- but it's always just a moment... just a single rugged and difficult to endure moment-- in a wonderful life that you've yet to fully live.

"The Thing" alien was actually a misunderstood traveler just trying to find their way back home. It was lost... afraid... and confused after being frozen for 100,000 years. It defrosts and wakes up from hibernation surrounded by weird alien lifeforms who aggressively hunt it down. In each movie of "The Thing" the alien tried to either make a spaceship or go back and repair their original crashed ship so it could escape its attackers-- Not conquer the Earth. It did what it had to in order to survive... just as you would have. Change my mind!

E.T. did not kill an entire outpost full of people... I mean, the thing could after the first assimilation talk and think like a human. Maybe to explain the situation and use his powers as evidence "could" have been a better course of action than the cat & mouse game of the movie. For some reason, it never tries to talk to the crew, after it gets discovered. This is for me more evidence for the hostile nature of the thing.

@@uziel1447 You make a good case! The Thing was certainly no friend of Elliott 🤣 - Yeah The Thing was certainly not a pacifist based on it's actions.. Sure it could have muttered out "phone home" and ate Reece's Pieces but as a lot of sci-fi alien movies go... Those "Greetings people of Earth, I come in peace" choices can often lead to finding oneself in a formaldehyde tank in Area 51 LOL -all joking aside though- thanks for the comment. Love the ET comparison. Hope to hear more from you. Hmm... Building the lil ship tho... Conquer Earth or flee to safety? Man, we need a 3rd movie!!!

@@DystopianDarkAmbient A third movie where the thing speaks would be really creepy and an interesting escalation. Imagine it uses its voice to taunt or lure the characters into his many arms and mouths. It could even change its voice into the screams of a baby to drive everyone insane.

Audio log 95. Day 300 and i dont fucking remember, I have 15 10 gauage shells and about 5 magazines for my glock left, low on food and its been 2 days since Mike passed, Those things didnt even get him, he got a fever and was gone a few days later, makes you miss the world we took for granted . Now im all alone that selfish fuck ha. Had a full convoy of 30 just 2 months ago. I wonder if ill ever see another human soul again. Whatever those things out there are, theyre not human anymore. The Last Radio transmissions from Reno came in 3 weeks ago not even sure where i should head to now. Should i try my luck or plan to go somewhere else? But where? Been held up here in this farm house since Mike caught the fever. I sprained my ankle dragging his body outside. Theres a few more out there than there were this morning. Cant move that well at the moment but every second that passes brings another one of those things to the house banging on the windows and doors trying to get inside. Wonder what ill lose first, my life?....or my sanity??. Shit, is there really a difference ? *glass breaks* *Looking in that direction and pumps shotgun* Hey mike......wondered when id get to see you again.....
@updooteverything5932
@updooteverything5932 4 ай бұрын
As the glass shattered, a primal fear gripped me, sending a shiver down my spine. I steadied my trembling hands, gripping the shotgun tightly, ready to face whatever horror lurked beyond the broken window. But what I saw froze me in terror. It wasn't one of those things clawing at the glass-it was Mike. Or what remained of him. His once-familiar face contorted into a grotesque mask of decay, his eyes empty sockets staring into oblivion. My heart pounded in my chest as I struggled to comprehend the impossible. "Hey, Mike... wondered when I'd get to see you again," I muttered, my voice barely above a whisper. The air thickened with dread as I realized the truth-I was trapped in a nightmare, surrounded by the restless dead. With a surge of adrenaline, I leveled the shotgun at the abomination before me, my finger trembling on the trigger. But memories of our friendship flooded my mind, paralyzing me with doubt. Could I really bring myself to end his twisted existence? As Mike's hollow gaze bore into mine, a chorus of moans echoed from outside, drawing closer with each passing second. Time seemed to stand still as I grappled with the impossible choice before me-survival or humanity. In the end, it wasn't fear that guided my hand-it was love. With a heavy heart, I pulled the trigger, unleashing a deafening blast that echoed through the silent farmhouse. And as Mike's lifeless body crumpled to the floor, I knew that I had lost more than just a friend-I had lost a piece of myself. But there was no time for grief, no luxury of mourning. As the horde descended upon the farmhouse, I steeled myself for the battle ahead, knowing that in this world of madness and despair, the line between life and death had blurred beyond recognition. And in the end, the only thing that mattered was survival-at any cost. Hours passed in a blur of chaos and carnage as I fought tooth and nail to defend my makeshift fortress. The relentless onslaught took its toll, both physically and mentally, pushing me to the brink of exhaustion. But with each passing moment, a glimmer of hope flickered within me-a determination to defy the odds and emerge victorious. As dawn broke on the horizon, the tide of the battle began to turn. The once-endless horde of undead began to thin, their relentless assault faltering in the face of my unwavering resolve. But even as the threat diminished, a new realization dawned upon me-a chilling truth that sent shivers down my spine. Mike's reanimated corpse was not an isolated incident. The dead were rising, their twisted forms shambling forth from the shadows with an insatiable hunger for flesh. And as I surveyed the carnage around me, I knew that the horrors of this new world were far from over. With a heavy heart and weary limbs, I gathered what supplies I could salvage and prepared to leave the farmhouse behind. But as I stepped out into the desolate landscape, a sense of uncertainty gripped me-a nagging fear that nowhere was safe, that no sanctuary existed in this forsaken world. But even in the face of despair, a glimmer of hope remained-a stubborn determination to persevere against all odds. And as I set out into the unknown, haunted by the memories of the past and the uncertainty of the future, I vowed to never surrender to the darkness that threatened to consume me. For in this world of madness and despair, the only thing that kept me going was the faint flicker of hope burning within my heart-a beacon of light in the endless darkness that surrounded me. And as long as that flame continued to burn, I knew that no matter what horrors awaited me on the road ahead, I would face them with courage, strength, and an unyielding resolve to survive.
