20 күн бұрынThree Catholic Priests, including one hailed by Pope Saint Pius X as a martyr for the faith, were among the victims of the Titanic disaster. All three of the European born priests are said to have declined lifeboats in order to offer spiritual aid to travelers who perished in the shipwreck, which claimed over 1503 innocent lives.

These Priests were true to their calling and vocation. They enabled souls in their care to die in a state of Sanctifying Grace and be saved.

@@The_name1057 Hail Marys was their suggestion to pray for the canonization of the priests. They didn't suggest the Rosary. But that is a great idea. I will pray a Rosary today for their canonization and for all the lives on board. We most certainly can and should pray any number of Hail Marys or Rosaries (or decades of a Rosary) for good causes, when we need Mother Mary's intercession. Ave Maris Stella Salve Maria !

@@angelicavazquez6946 Nothing in the rosary and hail Mary asks for help canonizing saints. And if unspoken prayers magic their ways into spoken ones regularly I have yet to have learned that doctrine.

The Faith is Catholicism. Evangelicalism is a heresy. We should pray for their souls and hope God has mercy on them, but we should dilute "the Faith" down.

@@carissstewart3211 Protestants believe that Rome is a backslidden church, fallen from grace because it does not understand and teach that salvation is in Jesus Christ, by grace, through faith alone. Jesus builds His Church. It doesn't have an earthly location, per se. Jesus said that wherever two or three are gathered in His Name, He is there. Thank God for the Reformation. It saved Christianity from the darkness of late medieval Roman Catholicism. You do see what your Pope is doing, don't you? And you think he is God's man?

There was one more priest. His name was Father Francis Brown. A passenger offered to pay for the passage to the United States. But the church refused permission. He left the liner when it arrived in Ireland.

Been researching and 🦺 🩹 🤕 🥶 praying for all victims of the Titanic disaster since I read: A Night To ✝️🛐 Remember by: Sir Walter Lord, in 1990 or 1991. My late Grandmother was born in July of 1912 and my late Grandfather was born in 1911; I wonder 🤔 how their immediate & distant relatives & friends were affected by that historical disaster.😭 💔 😔 🥺 😢😿🕯️ 🌿 🕊️ 💚🤍 💙🙏🤲 Let ✨🕯️✨ light perpetual shine upon ALL who died on the Titanic and ALL who survived🦺 the disaster, and are now deceased; the youngest survivor, at nine months old, was the very last to die of old age in the early 2000's. Peaceful Repose/ RIP.🩸 ✝️☦️✡️🛐💟☮️💜✌️✨🕯️✨🌿🕊️🤍💛🙏💖❤️❣️💌🌹🌷💐🌻🌼🏵️💮🌸
