We are joined by Robbie Pringle (FA Women’s National Coach Developer) as he hosts Jimmy Gilligan (FA National Coach Developer) and Joe Sheehan (Women’s First Team Manager at Ipswich Town FC), to explain how to execute the mid block within your team, using case studies from across the game.
The panel also review how England teams currently approach the mid block, giving insights and analysis into the strategies and tactics of The Three Lions. Joe Sheehan kindly shares his reflections through a case study of his role as Women’s First Team Manager at Ipswich Town FC, with applied examples from their 5th Round FA Cup tie away to Manchester City Women. The panel finish up by discussing mid block training sessions that you can use with your players to practice the highlighted principles.
