For real man this guy speaks the truth and gives us applicable knowledge. When I was in college for engineering it was mostly theoretical information that has no real world use. Like I am surprise this guy does not have at least 1 million subs. The type of information this guy provides is indispensable. People actually pay hundreds of dollars to hear these kind of lectures. It's amazing to know he is giving us access to this information.

Honestly as an entrepreneur I have been avoiding learning about sales most likely out of fear because I have never had a job in sales before (and probably because of trust issues towards real estate agents). I grew up without a father. So, like every boy in that situation, I have searched for father figures. I had an older cousin, teach me guitar. Then when I inevitably became, a troubled teen, and would get high... while the other kids I grew up with would go out and vandalize and shoplift, I bought my bag of weed, and went and played guitar... I'm the only one of the gang, that never did time. I get a similar sense of guidance, from tour videos. Thank you, from me, and from all the guys like me, who have also found this in you.

I've watched a few of your videos so far, and I have to say this one hit home the most. It encompasses so much with just three main words. I have limited sales experience, in fact I've only officially been at a sales job for about 4 months and closing wasn't me accompanied by a poor product to sell. However, one thing you reinforced, is my innate knowledge of is being a finder. It's something that has gotten me through interviews, moving from job to job, and creating trust in me within my respective workplaces. I unknowingly took this for granted, and with that I have set myself back. Thank you for this presentation, it really hit home.

I totally agree with the idea of a finder being the most valuable person. Being the owner of a small organization, where I have to focus on all 3 of these aspects of sales, without a finder it doesn't matter how good you are at closing, you won't have the business coming in to do so. Also, like you mentioned I believe there are 3 different personality types that accel in these 3 fields. Managing your personality to be well rounded on that level can be very difficult. Thanks for the video Pat!

If you want to be a professional salesperson master all of these while continually education yourself to be better everyday. Money comes and goes, but great client relationships can last forever if you stay humble and continually follow up. Closing is easy if you set a great base on the road to the sale.

I didnt think I had to much to do with sales with the business I'm going into but with watching tons of theses videos, I'm starting to realize that I do need to learn how to sale my service. So this had me reaching about other group homes. Most companies dont have a website. And I found out other things as well. In California you mostly get your clients from one place so I think the other companies dont see the point of advertising we provide a service so we must sale the reason why your home is the best....

This video excites me because after hearing you explain the three sales roles (Finder, Closer, Developer), immediately, I realized I was a fantastic finder. Even before I knew I was in sales (in one form or another), whether as part of a KZfaq MCN, a project recruiter, even as a content creator on Vidme and KZfaq, I knew how to bring people over. Whatever I lacked in the other two areas, I can always pair up with people who are specifically geared and great in those areas. That leaves me to focus on finding, finding, finding. Yeah, I'm a finder. And I'm still looking for opportunities that need a great finder.

Qualify. Close. Manage. It's definitely not just about getting the sale but also managing the client, account and project after it. Sales involves a ton of pre and post work. "Closing" is only one component and a misnomer because no one actually "Closes" a sale. More so they secure one but things are always ongoing afterwards

I had a good finder. . Tried to teach him the other 2 skills. He just didn't have the attention to learn. I tried to get through to him, it just didn't work. He did ok with point 3, but point 2, closing, was simply impossible. He totally lacked the professionalism. I told him he could be great if he just tailored his behaviour. He was a good finder, willing to hustle.

Great video and awesome content! Really helps my new company out! To answer the questions, I am a finder and my company is a developer. I have much work to improve my finding skills, so that I know what to look for when we do grow bigger later on. What an excellent way to look at things! Thanks!
