If I needed flint I'd immediately head for the Dueling Peaks along the Squabble river. The ledges that run both sides of that pass are loaded with ore, and if that wasn't enough you'd just have to climb higher along the Southern peak to find a lot more. There's no need to seek out Stone Talluses or pebble talluses.

Another good spot is near Terrytown, where the monster guy has his balloon. The eastern shore of Lake Akkala has many deposits.

A game, now that you have the thunder helm, see what some people say. Also, did you know, gerudo town allows non gerudo clothes? If you wear the gerudo set + snow boots or sand boots, you can go in. Gerudo set + thunder helm is also allowed. Though in the gerudo secret club, all clothes are allowed. That is also where you buy the Desert Voe set and the glowy skeleton armor.
