I have resisted jumping on the “prepping” bandwagon, because everything I heard was to create fear and panic. I don’t believe we should be afraid. I DO think we should be prepared for what life throws at us.
However I do think there are many reasons to be storing food and supplies, including inflation, political unrest, shortages, and supply chain issues that continue to happen.

I’ve heard from several people talking about this very same thing, and on suggestions thats been repeated many times, was every grocery trip, throw in a can or two of tuna, an extra bag of beans, just what you know you’ll eat and of course can afford. I started to do this, unfortunately, space is limited and then back in Oct. I fractured an ankle and that reduced my grocery shopping trips to almost zero, thank goodness for ordering online, and pick up. But another thing that most of us don’t think about are water filtering products, especially if we buy bottled water, I know that can go bad after a time. Survival tools, blankets in case heat is not available. It is a scary thought to think of how easily our life’s can change either thru natural disasters but man made disaster’s. Thank you for this video.

As for the term “prepping” - that seems to be a buzz word that became popular with the unending growth of social media. Throughout my life due to geography we always kept a store of food and supplies. It’s just been our normal way of life. Many folks in metro areas especially have not had to live this way- but it’s a wise choice to get started! Great video!! Thank you!!

We always have kept some food supply on hand, but during that time there just wasn’t room. And yes, the term prepping became popular on social media, but it is usually associated with urgency, panic, and fear. I think storing food is just wisdom, because nothing is certain in this life. Store what you can, and let your faith lead you.

Hi Vicki I was listening last night when this premiered but was elbow deep in potting soil with gloves on the whole time! Totally agree with and am right there with you! No need to get all doomsday and panic but it's just plain smart to be prepared for whatever you can.

This recession/depression personally feels way different than 2008-2009 did. Maybe I didn’t notice it as much because I was preoccupied with raising our young family versus now because the kids are grown and my eyes are more focused now. My intuition kicked in and I started prepping on January 20, 2021 and unfortunately, my intuition was right.

Also, my hubby is a cattle farmer. Anyone who enjoys beef should be extremely worried. The elitists are never going to stop until the cattle industry is destroyed. The same for poultry and hogs. They want full control of our food sources which will eventually be fully artificial.

Yes, it feels much different. The 2007 recession caused so much job loss across the board. This time there are still jobs, but prices have skyrocketed, there seem to be shortages of so many things. And yes, I am very concerned about all meats, grains, and other nutritious food. And I do believe it is being manipulated.

Did you mean Azure Standard? LOL - autocorrect! I but pretty much all of my grain from them, and have had absolutely no problems with their grain. All of mine have arrived clean, and I haven’t seen any sticks, seeds, and very little chaff (some is normal and doesn’t hurt anything), and I have bought a lot over several years.

There is no shortages. There is plenty of food, plenty of supplies, plenty of gas. There is just nothing at a reasonable price.

I do freeze whipping cream for cooking with, but I have heard it doesn’t whip well after being frozen. I haven’t tried that though.

There is a powdered heavy cream they sell. I’ve never tried it, but have seen it on a list of suggestions for things to have in a preparedness pantry, along with powdered milk.
