Right? I knew a few of the things mentioned from experience and talking but the edged bars on the back was something I was never knew and always assumed was ascetic, and maybe used to measure things but it's good to know what it's actually used for.

I've never thought that the one tool option was better than a traditional drop point knife combined with a light weight forest axe.

You're right Buddy, but ask a Gurkha soldier and he'll tell you that he can do anything with his Kukri that a knife and axe can do, and after decades of using them, I'm inclined to agree with them.

Ya but thats rainforest enviroment mostly softwoods trying using a khukri in the north woods during winter and tell me you wouldnt prefer a heavy felling axe or saw different tools for different environment

Sharing that information will help so many misinformed bushcrafters. That is my favorite knife to this day. My Tom Brown P-15265 Tracker and I have been through thick and thin and we're still going strong.

Def the most useful and informative video when it comes to explaining what certain designs of knifes do. You should make more videos on how to use other knife designs and other multipurpose tools.

I made it for TikTok but they banned it after it had 10,000 views lol. Called it “dangerous acts”…meanwhile they are pushing vids of people firing rocket launchers at other people 🤦🏽‍♂️

Tom Brown was my idol when I was a teenager. Growing up in the Sonoran Desert of Southern Arizona, I read all of his books and practiced his techniques every chance I could. I’ve used those skills I learned from him to be a hunting guide, wilderness instructor, and search and rescue volunteer. They have saved my life many times, as well as those who I’ve been called upon to help find. I owe an awful lot to him.

Interesting design, and a very cool looking-knife. My first experience seeing one was in the film “The Hunted” with Benicio del Toro. You have a very soothing voice btw this was very pleasant to listen to.

The "gut hook" is also for feather sticking when creating a fire. The first notch on the saw back deeper than the rest of the matches... It is for breaking wire... Like a wire fence

It's sad to see my fellow countrymen become so weak and civilized. Men can't do anything for themselves anymore. Especially all these city boys. I live out in the woods in Arizona and we still hunt, fish, trap, fix what's broken and change our own oil. We're not extinct, just a dying breed.

I have a beautiful example of the tracker. She's got brass fittings, and buffalo horn handle died with a blue stain. I wasn't completely aware of how to handle the back side of it. Thanks for the clip!

That quarter round is legit the best feather stick tool I've ever used. The tracker, when used well, is built to help feed, clothe, warm, and shelter you. It has all the tools you need, if you get familiar and practiced with it.

First media source that I have ever come across describing how to use a tracker knife. Thank you. Now that I understand the uses and features I’d have to recommend cheaper and less compromised options. Tramontina machete and a Swiss Army knife come to mind.

I was in the 6th grade and our history teacher read us the life story of Tom Brown. Later when I was working for the red lion in Washington state a film crew booked half the hotel for everyone working on the movie The Hunted with Tommy Lee Jones and Benecio Del Toro and Tom Brown was the consultant on that movie. Not a lot of people know who Tom Brown is. Cool knife.

The “saw blade” on the back, also makes quick work of prepping kindling chips for fire starting. You won’t cut down a tree with it, but it will give you some nice little chunks of dry tinder.

TOPS makes some very capable outdoor, survival, military knives. I have 3 or 4 of TOPS knives and while I'm notnan outdoor person, I keep them in the back seat storage compartment in my pick up truck as emergency tools/emergency weapons. they are about enough to really take hard use, well thought out enough to actually function.
