This is a nice list of basics and I totally agree about knitwear. Wearing a slightly nicer shirt and nice jeans every day rather than a T-shirt has made me feel fancier working from home. I appreciate that you include the caveat that people need to try on different fits for items like pants and blazers; there's really no one size fits all!

Love all these basics!! I must say if anyone is on the search for perfect pants, Uniqlo has some superb ones. Comfy, straight ankle semi high waist perfect! I bought every color they have recently and I adore them!

Hey Bea! When I paint my nails, I’ll always go for one of 3 colors: see-through pink, red or a deep merlot/burgubdy shade (which is what I’m wearing on the video). I find that they look good with anything ☺️

Hi Mariana! Another great video! Love your classy style! You are wise beyond your years! I wish I had this knowledge when I was younger!! Wondering if you might do a video about when to belt jeans/trousers and when to not bother. Are there guidelines for that? Thanks so much for your efforts!!

Hi Celia! I can absolutely do a video, but just to answer you directly: I only wear belts to cinch in my waist, or as a decorative touch. I think that if you already have a lot going on - maybe your top is in a fun print or has a shape/detail that makes it stand out - I would pass on the belt. But I do think that adding it to a more basic, neutral look (simple jeans or trousers with a shirt or a sweater, for instance) is a great finishing touch. The belts I use the most are: one thick black belt in a patent croc (very Audrey Hepburn and great for dresses, high-waisted trousers and skirts), one brown croc in a medium width (that to me is very in tune with that preppy, Ralph Lauren look), a thin elasticated belt with a gold decorative buckle (more delicate and great for adding to flowy dresses and kaftans) and a black one with a horsebit detail in the front, that I love for more equestrian-inspired outfits (amazing for closing a poncho or wrap). Hope this helps 😉

They drive me crazy, Shyrion! It’s a genetic thing… women in my family have the worst feet 😂 and to top it off, I did classical ballet for 15 years, so you can imagine how destroyed my feet were afterwards. But hey! Everybody has something they don’t like about themselves 😉
